I lived there for a year. I think that comes out to 3 podcasts according to the normal scheduledave wrote:Oh no! How many did you make?

CDs are dirt cheap pick some up and start copying them. Are you looking for someone to mail them to you? Postage would cost more than it would to buy Blank CD-Roms and burn them with iTunes, WMP, or whatever. I think I used Audacity to trim the mp3s if they were too long for one CD and just burned them onto two.
100 CD-R for $20/delivered.

Any issues in particular you are having with downloading these? I try to make it as easy as possible.dave wrote:Has anyone ever burnt these to CD's? Not in a protest movement kinda way, it just seems like I always have issues downloading stuff-and most are too long to listen to at work. I'd love to have a disc that I could just pop into my CD player and listen while I drive.

Yes, I enjoyed the new episode last night as well! I was surprised to see a new one up when I fired up my iphone as I was going to bed. I fell asleep about halfway through, though! I'll have to finish it tonite!JonesyAZ wrote:I was very surprised to find that the new episode of OTV is up and ready to listen to last night!
Very cool discussion; I likewise went to the opening night of Episode I at Arizona Mills Mall
I really enjoyed the talk about the new Solar/Magnus book; Zeph's enthusiasm and excitement of reading these new stories made me want to bust out my copy again.
Also, i'm glad to have contributed
Also, that was some awesome music, Jonesy! I loves me some metal! In fact, since I've joined in on the board and seen your avatar, I keep thinking you're a guy that used to be in the Devin Townsend Band.

Devin Townsend is seriously one of my favorite musicians! Back in the day, when I had long blonde stringy hair, my friends used to call me Devin because they thought we looked similar and musically had similar ideasJersen wrote:Yes, I enjoyed the new episode last night as well! I was floored that Sean wanted to use this tune as the new intro; it was meant to be an homage to the energy I have felt discovering Valiant and what-not

Glad you like as well

Geez, first I find out that there are other Arkansans on the board, and now other HevyDevy fans! That guy is one artist that always seems to connect with me, and I'm loving the stuff he's done so far on his 4-album cycle he's working on right now.
Back on topic, I've been in the habit of just picking episode of the podcast to listen to at night when I go to bed (most of the time I listen to music) and since I've gotten into looking for interesting comic book podcasts to follow, this is the only one that I haven't dropped of lost interest in. The fact that you 3 guys all have personality is one huge reason I've kept up with this one. I tried to follow a couple of Batman podcasts and both of them were just very bland to listen to.
Hell, the podcast is what led me here, and I'm just glad to be a part of this community, so GOOD JOB GUYS! Can't wait for the next one!

Did ZWH try to do the CGS "giggity giggity giggity goo" thing? I don't know where that came from, but it's annoying as hell and a good part of the reason I rarely listen to CGS.
Lady Gaga is the bomb though. I haven't heard all her new songs, but all the songs off her first album are fantastic. She's like a modern version of Madonna, Blondie, and Cyndi Lauper rolled up into one.

Mostly it's just finding what I'm looking for, and then having the time to devote to listening. I suppose I could just burn them to a disc-that is the easiest way for me to listen to stuff-while I drive to work and back I usually go through an audio book every few weeks.Dr. Solar wrote:Any issues in particular you are having with downloading these? I could go the I-pod route, but then I almost never have time to just put the headphones on, uninterrupted to listen...
It would be nice to have a sticky on this site, where we could just click and then have comments about each show too. That would be pretty cool!

I downloaded a ton of the OTV podcasts off itunes a couple weeks ago - and its all i've listen to in my truck since. Its been a blast. Someone else said earlier the rai 0 episode was one of the best and I have to agree. I've never even read any rai comic but you guys made me interested.
Also enjoyed the OTV guide to comic book conventions. Headed back to heroescon this Friday and those two podcasts just got me pumped for it!
It kind of ties into the rai 0 episode, but maybe a podcast about the "state of comics during the rise of valiant" would be a cool podcast. Take Shooter and the investors out of it and look at the comic book industry as a whole and what led to the speculator boom and the ultimate downfall. I'm sure AJ or Fred or whatever he's calling himself these days could shed alot of light on to what happened and maybe even talk about how valiant played a role. Just a thought.

Unity!!! (Rick James)
The Unity episode was really good. I listen to them at work.
I already listened to all of them and I'm going back to listen to them again.
I love Valiant comics.

I saw a review of our early podcasts, before we added ZWH.Elveen wrote:I've listened to each epsiode at least twice, some I have heard, four or five times. OTV is the perfect thing to listen to when dealing with comic boxes or scanning in books.
I like the Thanksgiving epi, and I just listened to the Re-launch #1 today with MOTA and ZWH going back and forth.
The reviewer referred to me as "the guy who really knows his stuff". I felt flattered.

That sounds great. I could listen to a OTV episode every week. I know it is a lot of work, but I could listen every week. I actually listen to old shows all the time.Dr. Solar wrote:I'm glad you guys want more!
I've been busy with work, other projects, and vacation in the last month. I haven't had the time to get anything together.
We'll get something out soon, I hope.
