X-O action figure.

While doing some Internet searches I found this hiding on the Diamond Previews website.

I wonder why they have this old info still on the server.

Have you ever seen the figure? I have a couple of magazines that show it. It's pretty damn cool. Skybolt toys made it. They had a regular version & a chrome version. I believe Skybolt went under & Acclaim went into comics reorganization at about the same time right before the figure was to be massproduced. According to a couple people working at Acclaim at the time that I contacted they were given 3 prototypes at their offices. They had 1 chrome version & 2 of the regulars. For one reason or another no one knows where those figures ended up... I've been trying to track them down for the past 5 years... ~Erskine

Actually, I think Greg has the XO Statue prototype not the VH2 action figure prototype.

I did meet someone (dealer) at a comic con a few years ago who claimed to have a VH2 XO action prototype and wanted $800 to $1000 for it. I don't know if he was for real since I did not actually see it, which was probably a good thing since I would have paid about anything for one back then.

Yep, I think we're talking about different things...

I have the unpainted resin 9 inch X-O Manowar statue.
(Like a "bowen bust", but it's a full figure X-O with his fist raised.)

The X-O toy prototypes being described in this thread
would have been like Spider-man or Batman toys that you can
buy today. Probably about 5 or 6 inches tall...
I want to say that there's a picture in the Wizard Valiant Special,
but I can't find mine right now... :?

Anyone know how many GOATs were made?---Steve G

Which one? There is a white cape with blue goggles version & a version with a blue cape & white goggles. I *believe* the blue cape version is far rarer. They also made some pretty cool Turok video game action figures & battle scenes... ~Erskine

I've never played any of the Turok video games either. How many different ones were made? Was there an X-O/Ironman game? I seem to remember something about this...(brainfart)

I did pick up a Shadowman game for Playstation, which came out during the 3rd re-launching of the title. It's not a bad game, but I prefer kicking zombie *SQUEE* in one of the Resident Evil games better!:)---Steve G
The Turok toys come up every month or two... They usually don't pull much money (shipping is usually equal to ending bid price). They made 3 different action figues & I *believe* 4 different boxed battle scenes. These were all based on the video games & the Acclaim Turok comics. You also can get a Turok blood vial & a Turok first aid kit. These were give-a-ways at the '02 E3 video game convention. I also have a Turok resin raptor claw from the Evolution game promotions. It's really cool & comes in a neat wood crate with "Turok Evolution" on the top of the crate. I'm sure there's other cool Turok promos. I still need that Turok Evolution EB Games variant comic if anyone's got one to sell/trade... ~Erskine

PS: Do you know about the limited Shadowman N64 version that comes with Shadowman sunglasses? Pretty nifty stuff...

The first Turok game for N64 is a classic! I really love that game! Much better than those that followed for the Xbox and PS2. It was very atmospheric, great music and action, and many cool surprises! That game alone is reason enough to pick up a cheap N64 system. It's even got these big monsters called "Perlins" that were named after Don Perlin! That game was so excellent I really held alot of high expectations for the follow up Turok games. They were really hyping them as "...better than the original...". And although the other Turok games are OK....none ever lived up to the first one. I've been a active gamer since the Intellivision days, and that first Turok game still ranks on my list of all time favorites.
