Arknospider im not judging you on your spelling in fact im not sure i actually bought that part up, it was your lack of coherence that stood out.
Im not bashing you as such, but your reply leaves you a bit open IMO.
If you are capable of putting together a board project as you have mentioned, but cannot correctly structure a sentence then you might want to take a look at that, sure people joked about it, you should read my early posts, they were atrocious, seriously appalling, but they werent wrong about that when they mocked me a bit for it

I think overall you completely missed the points i was trying to make.
You come across a bit bitter and in need of a hug dude.
Take some time to reflect on what you have written and how it comes across, you might see things differently tomorrow.

I'm no teacher, but every time you misspell a word it is underlined in red. If you right click on that word, a list of suggested correctly spelled words appear. If you then click on the word that you meant to type, it will replace the misspelled word.
Hope that helps.

I apologize. I assumed this held true for any operating system. I stand corrected.

Here is the way I see it... we have one guy claiming that he can make this ring. Granted, it is an unorganized plan and the 'project organizer' is not willing to make any investment whatsoever.
Then we get another guy who looks like he is trying to pick up the ball and has the ability to wrap up this idea in one thread as opposed to this completely disjointed thread.
Both of these individuals have less than 100 posts. Yes, I see the dates that these two member joined but neither of you do not have any 'board cred', meaning you both are an unknown factor to many here on the board.
It does not matter if you have the ability to recreate entire XO armor sets, I for one (and speaking for one but have an idea that my thoughts on this 'project' would be echoed by other board members) would not make any kind of deals with either of you. It is a matter of trust.
Another factor is the total lack of organization. If anyone has an idea for a project, you work on that idea and have a plan well before you go posting about it. But, even before THAT, you must:
1) get permission from Greg (and probably 'higher' as there are trademark matters to worked through *and God knows 'trademark issues' have been the core of MANY Valiant discussions on this board and a easily made available to the public or just spend some time researching on this board for answers)
2) make sure your idea is something that board members would want and is relatively inexpensive. You can get an idea if board members would go for this idea by having a discussion (thread) about how people would feel about owning something. You don't start off with a 'hey I can make this'
3) be able to invest time and money into the project before you bring up this idea. From experience, I can tell you that you MUST have money to invest and be able to sit on before this will ever fly. That is just the way it is. A 'you provide me with EVERYTHING and I will get it done' is a no go from the beginning. If you do not have the money to do a project... don't do it.
4) if you 'do' need down-payments of something like this for a project then you come to the table with a 100% thought out plan on how everything is to be done and how to protect project investors. But seeing as how both 'ring guys' have less than 100 posts, you don't have any 'board cred'... sorry, I am not going to be fronting ANY money to one or two guys that I do not know
Most important here through is, you can have the BEST idea ever to be thought of but if you do not have permission from Greg this turns out to be nothing more than verbal masturbation. I have tried to be 'a bit' ambiguous as to who I am referring to but to cut right to the bone here, araknospider you do not come off as being able to pull this project off. If anything, you take a look through you minimal 49 posts (as I type this) and you come off as abrasive and immature. I am not typing this with the idea of being mean or trying to trash the XO ring project but from from your activity on this board, you do not seem capable of pulling this off without a great deal of headache. A considerable percentage of your posts on here do not put you into a good light.
But the bottom line here is that the two individuals that have tried to get a ring project off the ground or whatever... you do not have enough time or invested time on this board to be able to put a project together of this magnitude.

For my board project I am offering an X-O ring. I can make this ring out of cracker jacks. I have no experience with popcornery and the first ring will cost $325.00. Each subsequent ring will cost $25.00.
You might ask, why $325.00? The answer is simple. You cannot craft a ring like this without a Kitchen Aid mixer. If you use a sunbeam mixer it just won't be of the same caliber.
Alternatively, I can cast this out of cookie dough as well. The initial ring cost will increase to $1,325.00 because I will need a stove as well. Each subsequent ring will cost just $25.00.
Please let me know if there is any interest and we can get cooking, pardon the pun.
