Framed Uncut Valiant Era II First Appearances Sheet

Post by iggy101us »

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0569829383

I won the retailer incentive framed uncut Valiant Era II First Appearances sheet. It was given out the retailers in 1994 and measures about 22” x 28”. It reads “Pyramid by the Upper Deck Company commemorates the 1994 Retailer Seminar. Thank You Diamond Comic Retailers for your support.”

I have not seen this item before either here or at sonicdan’s site. It is similar to the uncut X-O Manowar hologram sheet in that it was given out to retailers. The difference is that the uncut X-O Manowar hologram sheet was given to Capital City retailers and this uncut First Appearances sheet was given to Diamond retailers. Also I don’t think the uncut X-O Manowar hologram sheet was framed like this one.

Has anyone seen this before or has a copy? Any idea how many were given out?

Here are some pictures from the auction. I can’t wait to get this and I will examine it more closely and take more pictures.

Wow. That's amazing. $61. Pretty good. Do you know which cards are on it? 20. That's a weird number for a nine-card set.

Not sure exactly which cards are included. Looking at the pics, it looks like each of the 9 cards is there and each is printed either 2 or 3 times.

Ahhh, so it was you. :P Thanks.

When I was researching about this, I was surprised sonicdan doesn't have it on his site. Now I just need to track down the matching uncut X-O sheet.

I'm just nervous about the shipping of this. Hopefully it makes it here safely. :hope:

Well sh!t and d,a,m,n! I was afraid of that and sure hate it happened to you. I thought about suggesting you contact the seller and ask him the remove any glass and then ship it and you just put the glass in yourself. I'm sorry for you dude.

Luckily there's no damage to the sheet. I can replace the glass and it should be as good as before though it may cost quite a bit for such a large piece of glass (22" x 28").

I couldn't tell on the shipping label whether the seller bought insurance. It doesn't look like it though. I am waiting to hear back from the seller.

Ah, bummer! Great find though. Really glad the sheet itself wasn't damaged, that would have been awful.
