ALF #40 ALF gets back at NBC for cancelling his shows.

The Transformers #24 (Marvel US) Optimus Prime "dies" for the first time in comics after winning a video game. This is one the lamest deaths in comics.

The Transformers #25 (Marvel US) Megatron "dies" for the first time in comics. Megatron's first "death" is better than Prime's but then that not all that hard.

The Transformers #42 Optimus Prime returns as a Powermaster and it's still my all time favorite version of the character in all media.

The Transformers: Generation 2 #1 The second Transformers comic book series is darker, meaner, and more edgy.

The Transformers: Generation 2 #5 Even Megatron likes Shakespeare! This is one of those covers that makes me smile because Megatron looks like he's having fun while being just so damn evil too.

The Transformers: Generation 2 #12 All good things must come to an end and so did this era of Transformers comics while they did come back to comics, it's a real pity that this series will never get a proper end.

Thanks!!
For some reason, I've always liked this Mignola cover. Simple, but striking.

More newer covers.
I didn't care for Jock covers at first. Now, I love them.

A great moment captured.

Classic, clean good guy vs. bad guy.

An Homage, but with a cool character

I love date issues. This is a fantastic date cover.

Mahmud Asrar is simple, but great. I wish he and Yldiray Cinar were working on stuff other than DC.

Yes, he is. Jay Faerber has always been able to find talent in overseas companies. Both Asrar and Yldiray Cinar (Noble Causes) were snatched up by DC after working on Jay's creator owned comics.StarBrand wrote:I've never seen Mahmud Asrar's art before. He is very talented.
I'm sure the DC stuff pays them better, but those stories will never be as good as the creator owned stuff they worked on with Jay. That's one thing about comics that bums me out, but it is what it is.

Creator owned works is what drew me to the "Legend" imprint at Dark Horse and what is keeping me coming back to certain IMAGE books. Vertigo, for all its DC connections, does have a "Creator owned" feel to some books. Fables is the big one I'm thinking of and I do believe Willingham owns the right of first refusal of print...or something like that. Anyways, I am disenchanted with corporate books these days.400yrs wrote:Yes, he is. Jay Faerber has always been able to find talent in overseas companies.
