Jonesy, don't give away your review before the show!

How about "Birthquake - It's an EVENT because we say it is, damnit!"

As an aside, I finally got a chance to use El Bumpy-pants, but I made sure to give you credit.

I'm really enjoying the Harbinger Podcast guys.

I agree with the power of the Harbinger Files one shot. I would have preferred it if they had ended it without showing the final result of this new friend of his. Does he kill him or not? If Harada had left saying "I know you will." referring to the secrets being kept, without showing the guy die, it would have left the door open for debate, and would have added a layer to Harada.

At times I think they wanted to make you wonder whether he was good or bad, and at others he was simply a sociopath.

Anyway, great work. Thanks to all for reading the books it made it really great, very on topic.

The second Rai to get the blood of heroes eh?

I think Jonesy should be on probation for claiming Ninjak 0 and 00 are his favorite #0's of all time.

Make him host Only The Eggplant to get that bad taste out of his mouth.

My Favorite:

1. Archer and Armstrong 0
2. Unity 0
3. Harbinger 0
4. Magnus 0

Magnus 0 was really good, but it was so outside of the rest of the series that it almost seemed out of place.

Hahahahahahaha...you rule, Dave. I greatly appreciate your feedback; it adds to my enjoyment of helping out on the podcast so much more worth it :)

I do agree in hindsight that I may have been too spontaneous with my Ninjak 0/00 vote :)

The BEST 0 issue would have to be A&A 0 for me, as far as a perfect example of an intro story to a new series. You got fantastic art, fantastic writing, and the emotional content chilled me to the bone, yet left me wanting more :)

Now, the reason that I mentioned Ninjak 0/00 on the podcast is because those two issues were my most anticipated zero issue read :) This is because Ninjak was one of the earliest and only Valiant books that I got into back during the times of release (second to X-O Manowar). I have always enjoyed the concept of Ninjak; I am a big fan of ninjas, and I also am a big fan of British espionage type characters...a match made in heaven for this reader :) While i've learned now reading the entire run that Ninjak could certainly have been better, I always dug those two zero issues of Ninjak, because of its' reveal of his early days :)

Thank you again for your support of OTV and keep listening my friend :)

I think we all are a little jaded when it comes to everything post-Unity. Pre-unity is just so good it ruined the later issues for us. I did read all of Harbinger and didn't really care for it at the time. I thought it was a waste, and lame and terrible, but listening to you guys talk about it on the show made me realize that there were some amazing moments in there. I had forgotten about the guy getting the lobotomy while Harada was in his coma. When it was mentioned however, I was immediately able to recall the image of him scrubbing floors. That shows it was a very impactful moment and that speaks of the quality.

Great works guys! :thumb:

I wanna know how you've gone all these years as a Valiant fan without having read all the comics yet (or at least all of them that you already own)?! :o I wouldn't be able to stand the suspense of having stacks of comics sitting in a box that I hadn't read yet. Granted that there are some I could say aren't very worth reading (X-O bike, anyone), but I couldn't have just assumed that based on word of mouth without checking it out myself.

So you guys are recording tomorrow, eh? So do we get to know what the topic for this podcast is going to be? How are we supposed to do the play at home version of the game if we don't know what to refresh on for this episode? Also, about how long after recording does it take for editing/posting? Just wondering.

Thanks again to all who put out this great podcast!

The topic is Bloodshot, specifically, the late run books.

In the recording, we talked about our next topic, so when you listen to this episode, you will hear what the next topic is, so you can play along at home.

After recording... it takes until I have a free block of several hours to get the show edited, processed, and released. It should be up this weekend, at the latest.

I only read Bloodshot up to CE. If I had the time I'd really like to read all of those. I've heard good things about the run as a whole.

Along with Shadowman and Eternal Warrior, it's a book that didn't totally blow at the end.

I liked Eternal Warrior. It is unusual in that the hero actually joins the Neo-Nazis he was fighting for a while... :hm:

Interesting about Gil joining the Neo-Nazis for a while. I always felt that Valiant took the easy way out with many of those stories. It's easy to have all 3 Eternal brothers fighting the nazis all the time. There could have been some compelling stories told if the Geomancer had told him he had to fight alongside people that history tells us were the bad guys. What issues were those Chiclo?

I want to say somewhere in the high 30s or low 40s.

We are planning a podcast about Eternal Warrior 29 (or 27?) to 50 at some point. It's not the next podcast but it could be the one after the next one or the one after that.
