This would a great thing for a first time Valiant fan.

Here are my thoughts on your sale. The majority of us on the board have been fans of Valiant for a long time. We have read and likely own the majority of the books your selling. We collect and are likely interested in improving the quality of our collection, or perhaps we only have a few books of a title and would be interested in buying that entire title.

I think you're doing your collection a disservice by selling the entire lot in one shot. I don't think the demand is there for an entire Valiant run at this point. In a year or so, when Valiant begins publishing again and bringing in new fans there will be people who don't have any of the previous generation of books. Those people would be interested in a deal like this, and you would get a fair price.

I would suggest splitting your collection up into lots by titles, ie. sell an entire Solar or Rai or Magnus run. Scan some of the more desirable books of that title and advertise that way. As mentioned before don't split your run up into single books, that will be much more cumbersome to sell.

Johnseye - i completely agree with your approach. I think for me personally id like to see it go as a set just for the sake of being able to reflect and assume someone is enjoying it. Money wise though; yes break it up.

If i do go down the road of breaking it up, ill be sure to list them here first.

I also have some doubles and misc newsstand editions (non price variants) that ill be putting up for sale.
Theres about 75 unique newsstands ill be listing.

Based on the good advice of you scholars . . . . I'm going to modify this process a little bit. Priority still goes to those looking to buy the full set, however if your interested in certain pieces you can certainly PM me and if I decide to break it up we can go from there.

Keep in mind though, a few individuals already tabled some offers which were good for both of us in that they weren't interested in the full set but willing to take certain runs or large chunks of the collection if the set wasn't sold as a whole. I'll ask that should you be interested in making an offer if I break the set out, please attempt to make an offer which has a few books/runs packaged together unless it's the Bloodshot Platinum. We'll call it BYOVs . . . . (Build Your Own Valiant set)
