Was Promethea any good?
I picked up half this run at a convention last week...Williams art, Moore writing, and 3/$1 cheap bin bargains - I couldn't resist.
I've looked thru a few and they appear quite interesting...I won't actually read 'em until I pickup the remaining issues. Was the series as good as it looks? Should I be in a hurry to locate the rest and start reading??

It was just ok for me. I started and never finished it. It is a beefy read.
Not sure if I'll ever get back to it. I think it would read better one after the other, like reading 5-6 in a row.

I read all the TPB and got too say it was a bit dull. I understand Moore is trying to find ways to break boundaries but I think he could have done it in half as many issues.

Not for me.
Like you, I got about 1/3 of the run for $0.25 each at a local con. Eventually I tracked down the rest of the issues. Yes, the art is amazing but for me, the story is just so-so. I was reading it rather quickly after the first third of the run just to finish it so I can read other books.

Thanks for the input
The art is amazing but if the story is so-so I'll probably take my time putting this run together.

That's what I'd do. The more I think about it, the less I think I'll ever get back to it. There is just to much good stuff that I have not read, and great stuff that I would like to re-read.hulk181man wrote:Thanks for the input![]()

Same here. Artwork was awesome, but I stopped reading it after about seven issues or so.Elveen wrote:It was just ok for me. I started and never finished it. It is a beefy read.
