Looking at a brand new, poster-sized piece of Valiant art just sitting here waiting to hung! But we can't show you...yet.

Actually, I'm really digging the new X-O design thus far. Very organic, very Evangelion (and I meant that in a good way) while still keeping the core elements.

Agreed. I like it. I like it a lot. It isn't too Acclaim, despite some saying it is mildly video-gamish, which it might be. I think it fits the style of today, rather than 1991. It needs to be of today, but based on the past and they've achieved that. We can't have it based on the past, living in the past, done as a relic.

This is an XO for the 21st century and I applaud the design. Oh, and the sword-even if it is just a cover flair-is a freaking AWESOME touch.

Yeah, I'm digging the X-O look, I bet those that aren't feelin' it right now may change their mind when they see how the interior artist draws it. I'm assuming there will be a different interior artist(s) judging from what others have said about Jelena Djurdjevic being more of a cover artist.

I'm looking forward to this FCBD book and think it's a good approach to take to get a bit more of a universal introduction than to just feature one character; if I'm reading the description of the book correctly, that is.

I really like the design alot. Clean and organic. I really like the sword. That's awesome!

What struck me at first is the abrupt departure from what I'm used to in comics. All the images we've seen have been in this style. My first thought is that I don't like the 3-D, video game look, but maybe that's the way of the future of comic covers. It's growing on me a bit, but I'm still hoping the interiors are traditional line art.

Wave of the future or just the new style at Valiant, I like it. I've seen it before, but I don't think it's that wide spread. For now, it is somewhat unique. I do like the idea of fully painted covers.
