Is the Visitor worth reading?
Valiant is the son of the New Universe.

Not really. Some think it wonderful, or unique. Me, I just found it boring and predictable.

From what I've read about it, it seems kind of significant, as far as who the Visitor turns out to be.

I thought it was okay. I was a big fan of Harbinger 1-25, and this almost seems like the follow up to that run (more so than Harbinger 26-41). If you can get it cheap (which you probably can) I would say go for it.

To Starbrand, yes, and to SJS4, I can see that. It isn't that it is terrible, by any means-there are some nice twists, but nothing that you don't see coming a mile away. Aside from getting some long winded semi-resolution to lingering Harby stories, and some decent art-especially the coloring-there isn't a lot here to recommend or, in terms of fundemental ideas, that you can't find elsewhere.

I thought the "The Harbinger Vs. The Visitor" was an awesome fight, and the surprise ending was probably the best thing about it. The story had some ups and downs, but it's hardly Valiants worst effort.

To me the Visitor was just another part of the downhill slide Valiant went through. If you're bored and pick them up cheap, give the books a read and see what you think.

Thanks for reminding me about the end of HC. Now you've inflicted that pain on me anew. I'll go and lobotomize myself now, to ensure I forget that horror.

I actually use this quote frequently when describing things (movies, music, my day, etc). My wife doesn't really get the reference, but knows what I mean by now.

The title had potential. But for whatever reason, Acclaim buying Valiant I think, it was never givin a chance.

Agreed. I am fan of most everything else. I just recently picked up the Visitor and I just couldn't get into it.

That was my feeling. It never lived up to the potential it had. It seemed like it was trying to follow up on some threads from the glory days of Valiant, but didn't follow through.

The last issue is REALLY weird, and instead of tying up the story, veers off in an odd direction.

I think it is worth reading for the through and through Valiant fans.

Among others - he could be in two places at once.
