Harbinger 0 Pink CGC 9.6
I just bought this Harbinger Pink
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... %3AIT&rd=1
Not a bad deal (shipping includes insurance), but not cheap either.
I was wondering if getting these raw was worth the risk in the hopes of getting a 9.8 candidate?

perhaps he needed some fast cash or his wife gotta moody or he wanted to get some art... Lots of reasons. We all make mistakes. Wether his mistake was in trying to flip it or not budgeting his funds for that extras something special that might of just became avialable is really non of our businessckb wrote:That's really strange. I think I just sold a H0 9.6 to that seller. I certainly didn't sell it for less than that. Weird. Why would someone do that?

Ckb I bought one of those 9.6 cgc issues from you so it wasn't me....but your right that is a bit strange to sell it at pretty much what he paid for it.ckb wrote:That's really strange. Hey ckb,
Here is the one she bought from you:

That certainly is strange.

Hey ckb,
I just got the Harbinger Pink today (and it 's in great shape
). The serial number is 0129316011, so is this the copy you sold to casey1870
(don't tell me you memorized the serial number
)
Seriously though, it is kinda strange that she bought one from you (ckb), and then sells one with a BIN for $68.50 (at a loss), which includes shipping and insurance. I guess whetteon was right maybe she needed the cash
However, I gotta give credit to Casey's customer service. The packaging was super secure: priority box with tons of padding. Infact she lost money on the shipping and insurance too. She charged $8.50 for priority shipping with insurance, but her total shipping cost was $10.35 ($8.05 priority box shipping + $2.30 for insurance up to 100 bucks). If you're lurking around Casey; Thanks

Suprised that the pinks cgc graded have come down in price recently. I keep telling everyone that now is the time to buy if there ever was one in the last 2-3 years.

I don't think ppl pay any attention to cgc prices sometimes...unity reds are consistently going for 65-70 nm nowadays, but ppl won't pay 85 for a CGC 9.6 unity red? Do they honestly think they're receiving a 9.8?whetteon wrote:Suprised that the pinks cgc graded have come down in price recently. Yeah, I wonder about that too. I would think a nm+ would be more desirable then something described NM but is really vf.GGSAE wrote:I don't think ppl pay any attention to cgc prices sometimes...unity reds are consistently going for 65-70 nm nowadays, but ppl won't pay 85 for a CGC 9.6 unity red? That book in 9.8 has been consistently coming down from the $200+ mark. I think it MIGHT have something to do with the buyers market, but probably is mainly due to the fact that there are a LOT of 9.8s out there now. That end price is probably lower than it will be in a few months though.GGSAE wrote:The same can be said for the 9.8

I think it's defin. a buyers market right now for CGC books on ebay prices are down across the board......400yrs wrote:That book in 9.8 has been consistently coming down from the $200+ mark. That price is just slightly more than double the average price of a 9.6, if i wasn't tapped out i'd buy it. How much lower do you think it can drop?400yrs wrote:That book in 9.8 has been consistently coming down from the $200+ mark. I'd say that end price is probably the bottom, I hope. Maybe 130 shipped. People (we) will start the buying.GGSAE wrote:That price is just slightly more than double the average price of a 9.6, if i wasn't tapped out i'd buy it. Would that be number 15 or 16 for the collection? I'm still waiting for a hopeful 9.8 to come back from CGC.Ricomortis wrote:CKB...me as well...me..as well :xckb wrote:It can't drop much more. The most rewarding thing is opening up that box and pulling out a 9.8. Oh..how they look SO sweet in those CGC holders. Something just brings them to life...so vibrant....<drools>.
However...I've noticed that on most harby 0 pink issues there is a faint crease on the upper left hand corner....so there is your only problem allowed for a 9.8. And that is if they don't think that its to much by itself...that particular day.

That kind of flaw is allowed for a 9.8? I was just inspecting my pinks, looking for a 9.8 candidate. I saw the crease you mentioned and figured that would put it out of the running.Ricomortis wrote:
