$1,300 plus shipping to a winning bidder with 2,318 feedback.
I have a feeling we might see this book again, in a CGC slab, in a US auction.

Bloodshot Platinum and crazy gold lot on ebay
I'm new to the boards. Well, not a new member, but a new lurker, infrequent commenter guy. So....Rufusharley wrote:I don't think he looks like an *SQUEE* at all. Neanderthal maybe but not an *SQUEE*
Why is *SQUEE* frequently preceded by "an" rather than "a"?
"What a *SQUEE*" right?
I do t think he's a *SQUEE* or a Neanderthal (I hate the N word), just a valiant nerd posting about a rare valiant auction, for other valiant nerds to see. I for one, as a lifelong valiant nerd, am glad he posted the heads up.

I purchased the gold lot after the Blood Plat was removed.
It did arrive. Comics are no where near as nice as the pics make them look. Or it was the poor packaging coming from the Philippines that is the cause

Not cool at all. Especially when another board member stood up for this seller, stating how reliable they were.

Re: Bloodshot Platinum and crazy gold lot on ebay
With a second look, I am pretty sure it was the shipping that did it. Zero protection to the sides/corners in a box that was too big to get away with doing that.
The EW flat signed is in great shape though so at least I have that and a few of the other books are good [that were in the middle]
I think I could get my money back splitting the books up so I may just do that as Im a stickler on the shape the books I own need to be in.

Re: Bloodshot Platinum and crazy gold lot on ebay
Sorry to hear about the books being damaged. I'm sure its very hard for you to see the condtion with spending $$$ on this.
I've heard similar stories too many times over and over.
Seller needs to be responsible to ship items to ensure they arrive the same condition when sent.
If the books arrive damaged due to not having enough protection, I would be very upset.
I can say that each time I have shipped a premium book, I make sure there is no way that the book get damaged by moving around.

Considering all the tricks the seller did re-listing this, and then frequenting this thread, for that to happen is *SQUEE* ridiculous.

I took a chance and am happy that they at least came

The books are not that bad really, but if you examine the ebay listing with the enlarge pic option, there are some corners dinged for sure. These being "premiums" you shold go above and beyond to bomb proof them.

I would think any books someone pays for should be treated with care, premium or otherwise.

Re: Bloodshot Platinum and crazy gold lot on ebay
My experience is that unless it arrives in a box, I know I'm going to be disappointed when I open it.
I received a flat media mailer 6 weeks ago that the sender had inserted adequate support. The post office saw fit to bend it in half even though it was marked Do Not Bend.
I took a big fat marker, scrawled "THIS SAID DO NOT BEND" on the mailer and nailed it high up (I stood on a 5 gallon bucket) on a telephone pole across the street from my local post office, for all the world to see. I used a roofing nail with a one inch wide head and left all the re-inforcing cardboard inside so it would be a *SQUEE* to tear down. I was also smart enough to remove all identifying address information.
People should be held to account.
