Re: PRE-PAY info for HeroesCon flipbook blanks...
I got a sense from PM'ing with Greg that he met with Dino before the show to get the books, so I think he was able to skim them off the top.
Also, while VEI may only have a small number available at this show, I have it unofficially that 1000 were printed.

Hmmm... Maybe not a heroescon exclusive then?ckb wrote:I got a sense from PM'ing with Greg that he met with Dino before the show to get the books, so I think he was able to skim them off the top.

Meh... Who am I kidding? There will probably be 5 different covers for sdcc alone!

It's not that I don't have an avatar... I've just been working on it for the last few hundred years.

PRE-PAY info for HeroesCon flipbook blanks...
Confirmed with Fred Pierce and Dinesh that I will have the books sent directly to me from the printer next week.
I can take pre-pay orders until Sunday night and then give Fred the total.
We're covered on these up to 100 copies (maybe more)... all blank.
VEI is taking care of us.

I believe we're up to about 100 now, so if we go over the amount possible, I'll issue refunds asap to the last ones to pay.

Greg, you rock! VEI rocks too!
Now I just need to stop buying comics so I can afford to go to a Con and get a sketch.

Hmmmmmm well now I'm curious. Do you think these will arrive by SDCC ? Seems like it might be cutting it very close. I was thinking that a couple of the Valiant artists would probably be at SDCC, even if they weren't representing Valiant, and that's where I could get a more detailed sketch for my blank cover

On VEI's website, it states that these will only be available at HerosConCrow331 wrote:greg wrote:Confirmed with Fred Pierce and Dinesh that I will have the books sent directly to me from the printer next week.

Well if they aren't printed yet... Maybe ours can be labeled "vf completistist edition variant"

paypal sent for 2 please, thank you!
Re: PRE-PAY info for HeroesCon flipbook blanks...
See I could easily interpret that as "currently" only available at HeroesCon. There's no reason they can't show up at other cons.Rubiks-Q-Bert wrote:Yep.caniac wrote:On VEI's website, it states that these will only be available at HerosConCrow331 wrote:greg wrote:Confirmed with Fred Pierce and Dinesh that I will have the books sent directly to me from the printer next week.

They are all already printed. VEI only brought 200 today, so the CGC board guy is correct. It is also true that the total number is around 1,000... possibly just under, since personal copies for VEI guys probably never enter the market
These are very nice, thick and 'square-bound' (as I would describe it), meaning the cover is glued, not stapled.
The books we'll get from the printer are from the same run, just not part of the 200 VEI had on hand today.

Similar thickness as Pred vs Magnus trade, but the white cover is not glossy... it's a good sketch cardstock.

Thanks for doing this, Greg. I sent payment for 4 as soon as I got home. Hopefully there will be enough.
That's great to hear. With 72 pages and the heavier sketch stock, I was wondering if staples would hold up. Instead, this is the first square bound sketch book I'll have. It wouldn't surprise me if it was the first ever glued flip sketch book ever.

Whenever I impress my students at school, I feed them this line to comment. I will use it now to describe Greg.
"You are more amazing than I'd previously imagined possible."
Humble, sincere, thanks. If a smiley existed with worshiping at the altar of you, it would be placed here.
