They are the only publisher that Diamond ever promoted to a Premium publisher. They have their own section in Previews between DC and Image.

I think they outsell Dark Horse. Maybe Image too some months.

This is what has kept me from reading it, frankly.

I love Terry Moore's art, but the last comic of his I read was Echo, during which the entire time I kept thinking "Yes...cool...and?" It had a lot of potential but never really coalesced into something special imho.

I got a big damn shipment from DCBservice (mainly because of the multiple, multiple Harby 1s). The ones in blue are the only ones I'm really excited about reading. Therefore, I've started dropping some of the others and am considering going back to an LCS if the dcbservice discount isn't substantial enough. Plus they still haven't fixed what they botched on the X-O and Harby 1:50s so that still ticks me off a bit.

Amazing Spidey 687, 688
Scalped 59
Whispers 3
Chew 27
Animal Man 10
Swamp Thing 10

Amazing Fantasy 15
Aquaman 10
Before Watchmen #1s:
- Nite Owl
- Comedian
- Silk Spectre
- Minutemen
Flash 10
Daredevil 14
Dominique Laveau 4
Near Death 9
Rebel Blood 4
Trueblood ongoing 2
Batman 10
Dancer 2
Saucer Country 4
Scarlet Spider 6
Epic Kill 2
Bleeding Cool 0

Already bought a spare copy and read it already:
Saga 4
Walking Dead 99
Invincible 92

Went to mycomicshop.com and bought 8 books to read. Total price was 10.03 including shipping. I bought FN of VF copies when available. One is NM.

Box Office Poison #1- Highly acclaimed back in the day
Ex-Mutants 1,2,3- 1st series, 1986
Pete The PO'd Postal Worker 1- 'bout time I tried this series!
Wordsmith 1,2, 3- At one time this series was mentioned as possibly the best comic book series ever. Suffice it to say, it's been highly acclaimed.

I'm really looking forward to reading this batch! :)

Your pull list always looks damn similar to mine dude. The ones you've highlighted are all pretty sweet. Personally I'm still really into Saucer Country as well, something a little different and looks to be going somewhere interesting.

I dropped Epic Kill and Mind the Gap, weren't doing it for me.

Oh and Batman #10 was incredibly satisfying, endings in comics are pretty hard to get right but I think Snyder nailed this one and at the right time, not letting it run too long (I'm also glad I avoided 90% of the crossovers, felt like a more pure and consice story.)

This is what i currently have on my pull list:

XO-Manowar
Harbinger
Bloodshot
Archer & Armstrong
Any other Valiant
BPRD & Related
Dark Horse Presents
Saga

I am thinking about adding "The Massive" when I go to pick up X-O tonight. The guy at my LCS recommended it to me last week when I picked up Harbinger/Bloodshot/DHP/BPRD. I checked it out online and it sounds interesting.

I have also been picking up the "Before Watchmen" comics. I haven't read them yet but I know I will want to read them eventually. I didn't put it on my pull list because I am not really that into it. I also pick up "Walking Dead" in TPB form as they are released.

That's because you have great taste!

I agree on Saucer Country, but I'll be reading it in trades. Nearly all Vertigo stuff, except Scalped, I end up on trades just due to reading preference.
ian_house wrote:I dropped Epic Kill and Mind the Gap, weren't doing it for me.
Same. Although I like the mystery of Mind the Gap, by including all the song references, it got a bit more heady than I like my comic books to be. I did pick up some Morning Glories back issues out of the 50¢ bins so that will satisfy my mystery itch.

I haven't read it yet, but that doesn't surprise me. The last issue of his Detective run pulled together multiple plots and tied everything up perfectly out of nowhere. It was probably the best, most complete 10 issue arc I've ever read. If he nailed the end of Batman 10, that might change my opinion on the book and get me to keep it on (although with the Joker coming up I'll be around for a bit longer anyway).

High praise for the Snyder Detective run, 400. Which issues are those, exactly?

Yeah Detective did finish on a real high note. Not sure you'd agree but for me the best (slightly) longer run on a Bat title was Morrison's opening 12 issues for Batman & Robin. That last issue with the return of Bruce and the aside with the Joker was nigh on perfect for me, it brought together everything from Bruce's death, RIP, The search (can't remember what it was called) and the opening 11 issues of Batman & Robin perfectly. I'd love to see some of those villains (esp. Prof Pig) back in the new Bat titles.

Some good stuff there. ASM and Spider-Men have both been great fun lately, never really been a Spider-Man fan but enjoying all of it.

Are you reading Daredevil? That's the only other Marvel book that's keeping me hooked, love me a bit of Waid, hope this run can equal his Flash run!

I dropped Secret Service after the first issue, did I miss something?

I really don't need to say anything about Saga, Chew/Poyo or Invincible (ALTHOUGH this is the first arc of Invincible ever where I've thought this isn't quite as good as the last run).

Just read #10. Yep. You are right. That was a pretty damn good reveal. Hopefully they don't right it out of continuity. I guess I'll be sticking on Batman for a while. Snyder is awesome.

I bought a bunch of stuff today so I'll be selling some stuff sometime soon. An awesome shop was having a fill a short box for $50 sale so I headed out there.

$50 cash shortbox mainly pulled stuff I wanted to read as it's all stuff from the last few years. I was hoping he had his ASM boxes out, but either he pulled them back or someone took them all. Lots of good stuff and stuff I've never heard of, but I was able to find a few things that I should be able to flip and recover my costs:

- Chew #2 2nd and 3rd prints (a few of each)
- Detective #1 first print
- Batman and Robin #1 first print
- Cursed Pirate Girl #1 first print :o

Then, from the regular stuff, I picked up the new Hawkeye that came out and a X-O #3 Mico variant for a total of about $15.

After, I went to another shop and picked up a few things at a store that does buy 2 get 1 free on back issues:
Invincible #52 sketch variant $20
Daredevil #1 blank $5
Nightwing #4 $4
Nightwing #4 $4

The Cursed Pirate Girl should cover eveything I bought today (or more). The Nightwings and Detectives will be flipped as well and then I have about a short box of new stuff to read and pass along.
