Yep. It's Acclaim's fault. Literally.

Extremely lame.

VH1 is a music channel... Acclaim wasn't Valiant, didn't deserve to use the name.

VH1 is an even worse label now. It's still a music channel. Acclaim still wasn't Valiant.
Now the numbering doesn't even make any sense, relative to the new books.

VH1 might be a quick way to say "the first Valiant universe", but even then people have to ask... what does VH1 stand for?

facepalm

I may have to change the auto-correct for VH1 back to something that doesn't make me hear the "Behind the Music" theme when I see it.

:P
I propose:

VU = the Shooter VALIANT universe
VH = the first Acclaim Valiant
VH2K or VH2 = the post Unity 2000 Acclaim Valiant

I'd like to adopt:
VU = Valiant Universe
VA = Valiant heroes, Acclaim comics (just use the V and A like the logo did) [OR] VHAC = Valiant Heroes, Acclaim Comics (the full text on the logo: http://d1466nnw0ex81e.cloudfront.net/is ... 3671_1.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)
VEI = Valiant Entertainment Inc. (I wish the Inc wasn't in there, but it is)

Either way, VH1 and VH2 have to go!

Let's have a vote!
Replace VH1 here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=37921" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Replace VH2 here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=37922" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
And what about VEI: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=37923" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
AKA "The Anti-Chartist: he who made Charty go Sharty"

I don't want them to fall into the trap The Marvel Ultimate Universe fell into, but I don't see why Orb (Or Omen or *insert original valiant concept*) can't be brought into the new universe, in a cool and interesting way or even a subtle way that keeps it fresh and isn't simply retelling those old stories.
What we need is innovation and even revolution—but not so much in the form of marketing ploys and doohickeys. What is needed is bold creative vision, excellent stories, and brilliant storytelling, in a word, entertainment. -- Jim Shooter
