I've got that maybe my retailer will save me his copy, but if not I think I'm okay with that. It's a neat piece, but not enough to pay anywhere near what the asking prices on eBay are at right now.

I'm moving to your town. Sounds like you've got a great lcs with your recent finds/additions. My lcs might be in the top 5000 Valiant retailers, but I WAS pleased that they actually had at least one copy of every issue on the shelves this time.

If one is going to every retailer wouldnt the print run be around 2-3000 or more? I would think that would make it about $10-$20 max in NM=+.

my LCS guys are awesome, no doubt about it. They don't get all the variants, but they aren't that interested in turning a buck on these bonus books. They like making their customer's happy. They've gotten every request I've made from them exactly on the money right, and they pay attention to what I like.

I just had a thought. There's a comic shop out there that was #501 on the Valiant's retailer list. Sucks to be them.

Unfortunately, my LCS did not qualify for the Valiant Black, but if they did, they would actually save it for me and not charge an arm and a leg.

Even if I didn't get one, I get the variants at very reasonable prices.

I was able to get one at my LCS, he gave me it for 70.00 - I was hoping I could get it cheaper, but with the prices on ebay, I still think 70.00 is a deal, not to mention I was just really happy he got one and held it for me.

He had a gold too, but I already got one of those for free!

I had a question, when looking at grading something like this, do they grade the sleeve as well, or just the book?

My book is in almost perfect condition, just an indent near the top left of the spine.
