Gnarly fight between Bloodshot & the Chainsaw crew!
Arm bone through throat, Oh My!
Nice cliffhanger. I'm glad he made it to the Nursery.
We know from the Harbinger Wars info that this is going to be major repercussions.
I like how they are shaping up the Nanites abilities and their interface/relationship with Bloodshot.
The kids face on the narration bubble is a nice touch.
Kara proved to be resourceful in this issue.
I'm looking forward to how the creepy confrontation between Gamma and Melissa goes.
The art is nice and consistent throughout with Manuel Garcia on pencils and Matt Ryan inks.
Very enjoyable!

The arm bone made me make an audible "ew, wow" as I was reading it.
I did like how Bloodshot mopped up shop on the Chainsaw crew.
I'll need to re-read this one again tonight, I remember liking it, but not a lot of the details.

Arm bone to the neck for the win!
Haha ... uh, gross but cool.
Loved the ending, too. This book seems to be getting a little more complicated yet making more sense now.

Liked it. Cool fight, more expansion on the relationship between BS and the Nanites, cool cliffhanger leading into the next issue. Real solid all around.

It was action-packed but not excessive. Just what you'd expect from a one-man invasion of sorts. Gruesome? Yep. Also bleh on eating those decrepit hands, and kudos for not showing it.sonicdan wrote:Gnarly fight between Bloodshot & the Chainsaw crew!

Couple of good one-liners in here to break up tension. Yay Kara! I hope that I can make with the smart-aleck repartee if/when I ever confront a bad guy

Gamma and Melissa - love this setup. Gamma scares the hell out of me. #nightmare Can't wait to see how this unfolds and learn more about how she controls these obviously powerful kids. Got to be more to her than cattle prods and boogey man stories. Speaking of which, can't wait to see Bloodshot's reaction to learning his past with hunting/kidnapping these children. Also love the lead Harbinger child - determined and brave. He may know he has no chance of escaping the facility ever, but still defends his "home" - or moreso, the other children - in the face of perceived danger.
Cannot wait for story expansion on the nursery kids and Harbinger Wars.
Overall, a nice job of providing backstory fill without a history lesson. Also liked how they handled the chainsaw crew, and that they didn't eliminate them totally, so there will be more to deal with in the next issue beyond Gamma and standard guns.
I think I liked this better than A&A. Considering I'm a snark, that's saying a lot.
"Sorry, no. You are absolutely about to pepper spray the wrong guy."

loved this issue actioned packed like always, The chainsaw grew gave a broodish yet creppy feel to them. The arm thing made me cringe a tad. OUCH, The Fight scenes were great and the gamma scene and the cliff hanger leaves me wanting more

Loved this issue! The art is still great. It is getting tougher and tougher for me to keep Nord as my favorite artist. Garcia is really talented and I hope they keep him a long time! He seems very well suited to the gore/action in this series.
The story itself was good, can't wait to see more of Gamma/Melissa, bloodshot and the Harbinger kids, and see what Oreck does. This is steadily becoming my #1 comic purchase each month.

Really good issue. Art and pacing were top notch. I'm not a fan of Gamma. Seems out of place here tone wise. Seemed silly and unrealistic the kids were being kept in cages. I thought the way the Kid used Kara was great. The bone to the throat was a fun touch. I thought the Chainsaw crew was a bit goofy design wise. Would rather them look like something that was possible with todays technology. They kinda remind me of Image rejects from the 90's. Another great issue.

Yep, loved the book. Loved the arm thing.
I especially love that Bloodshot killed most of the chainsaw nonsense. Good riddance. I expect the remaining two to die in issue #7!

The fight with Chainsaw was off the hook. The ending left me more than curious, however, I really want to know what power that little boy has that he could bring Bloodshot to his knees.

Re: Bloodshot #6 Discussion
agree entirely with the Chainsaw crew. They seem like bad 90's characters, Image or otherwise. Reading this along with todays A&A release is a complete let down as the characters and the plot points seemed designed to support the action sequences and not the other way around.orbitalshift wrote:Really good issue. I am still on board with this title. The ending, while rushed and if the kid could just punch through the glass cage...why?...but the shortcuts aside, I am still invested on figuring out wtf is going on.
Not as polished as previous issues, 5/10
What we need is innovation and even revolution—but not so much in the form of marketing ploys and doohickeys. What is needed is bold creative vision, excellent stories, and brilliant storytelling, in a word, entertainment. -- Jim Shooter

Being a super fight geek it made me think of the UFC when Randy Couture finished Gabriel Gonzaga punching him with his broken arm. Cept of course Randy didn't stab Gonzaga with a compound break, but still badass.hawkeyeps wrote:Yeah for sure, Recon was thinking- What can this guy do with a compound fracture?MarkRoseHFX wrote:I lol'd at the broken bone stab bc i'm a sick![]()

Well if we could trust every cover to a book, Pete would have been disintegrated by Harada in Issue 5.greg wrote:If the cover to #8 is accurate... they're still around.bribri wrote:Yep, loved the book. Loved the arm thing.

Bone stab! Holy crap! That was crazy and I did not see it coming. I must have read over that sequence 5 times before moving one. Couldn't belive that really happened. Bloodshot is hardcore!
This is probably my least favorite book (still love it though) but damn this issue is making me rethink that ranking. Love the development with "the kid" and am liking the nurse. Sorry I am bad at remembering names and don't have the book in front of me right now. Last issue had me excited for this issue and this month is the same. Looking forward to whatever revelations we get next month about the kids and Bloodshot.
And have they ever said for sure who the girl was at the begining of issue one that downed the drone? or is it still open to interpretation? been listening to onlythevaliant podcast (great show) and the last one i listened to there was still some debate on who she was
