I don't think it is. The silver really pops all over the cover on the 3 that are for sure platinum. Especially on the blue from Gilad. The one from the auction just isn't as vibrant.MarrowMan wrote:From The Auction

Looks like a Platinum to me, unless I'm colourblind or something

I'm still not sold, but I guess it will be hard to tell unless one surfaces for sale and we can get the seller to link this auction. I would agree also for $80 I would gamble for sure, but a lot of the older Valiant universe has been lost in the ebay searches. I also think VH1 prices have gone down in price because of it, unlike the rejuvenated demand 'the board' predicted would happen.

Agreed. No one would pay $80 for those books unless they thought that was a platinum.BloodShot wrote:Yeah, I'd be willin' to bet a dollar to a doughnut they dozoso20 wrote:Wonder if the buyer even realized what he got........

For those of you that think it's gold, what is your reasoning? There isn't a hint of gold color in that picture.

I'll take that a step further: for those of you that think it's a GOLD or "otherwise"...Blood of Heroes wrote:For those of you that think it's gold, what is your reasoning? There isn't a hint of gold color in that picture.
It is absolutely NOT a GOLD, nor a fake.

On the flip side, it's actually a legit question, and one I'd already been asked for real-reals a handfull of times.

I see some minor imperfections. I wouldn't pay more than $80 for it.

Re: So... who got the Bloodshot 0 Platinum for $80?
The thing that I find a little suspicious (although maybe I'm just paranoid) is that the seller doesn't call out that it's a gold or a platinum (although one might expect a seller to do so in order to differentiate it from the regular version) but leaves it as a generic #0; almost as if the seller wants potential buyers to think they're getting a platinum while the actual item being offered is a gold. (Note that the Magus/Nexus Preview and the X-O Pink are specified.)Blood of Heroes wrote:For those of you that think it's gold, what is your reasoning? If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.

can i have a link to the other thread? would be an interesting read ~ which obviously I have forgotten or missed.
As for faking a platium ~ unless that is the thread above ~ it was tryied or discussed but was demeemed a fail.
Oh for $80? let me guess they don't ship international.

Re: So... who got the Bloodshot 0 Platinum for $80?
I picked up my first Unity 0 Red in an auction where the seller did not include the word "red" in the description. There was a picture of nine comics in the auction and in the middle of the top row was a Unity 0. I won that auction for $2.99.kjjohanson wrote:The thing that I find a little suspicious (although maybe I'm just paranoid) is that the seller doesn't call out that it's a gold or a platinum (although one might expect a seller to do so in order to differentiate it from the regular version) but leaves it as a generic #0; almost as if the seller wants potential buyers to think they're getting a platinum while the actual item being offered is a gold. I can tell you what happened here - someone won at eBay and it sure was not the clueless seller.
