I can't even begin to choose a favorite cover...so many amazing ones, including several by new (to VALIANT) artists.

Las Vegas seems to be a hot spot for Harbinger Wars...Aren't Archer & Armstrong passing through Sin City as well that month? :hm:

And we have a name for the PRS Kids: Generation Zero! I like it :thumb:

That Amy Reeder Harbinger is awesome! So is the Tom Fowler A&A gatefold, but that doesn't really look like his usual stuff.

I love the Larosa cover for HW #2, the way Faith is palming her fist and the look on Torque's face is like "Yeah right Bro"

I love that one too. The Renegades get their revenge after Bloodshot destroyed them on Harbinger Wars #1 and Bloodshot #10 covers.
I'm also glad I can finally post the original art! :thumb:

I was hoping for a double dose of A&A and Shadowman like we're getting with Harby this month, but I like that I'll be reading two Valiant books a week for the first three Wednesdays in May.

Do you know if there is a place to buy the art? I've been looking for Nord pages, but I can't seem to find them. I was wondering if VEI was keeping all of the pages rather than giving the artists the rights to them.

I kinda want to see Amy Reeder do interiors for Harbinger after this arc. Love her cover! :D Hope I don't end up with the variant since my LCBS hooks me up with one from time-to-time instead of the regular cover or the pullbox.

I agree. I looked at the solicit hoping she was the interior artist, but nope. The only book of hers that I'm very familiar with is Halloween Eve. And it looked great. Harbinger (or A&A, but Henry is perfect on that) would be a great fit for her.

The artists can do what they want with the original art once they are done.
Many sell them to supplement their income or have a rep do it for them.
These days art is usually scanned and sent digitally instead of
mailing them in and having to wait for them to be returned. Your best bet is to contact them directly
and see what is available. Facebook and Twitter can help. A lot of artists post previews
and teasers of works in progress even. Nord has been recently posting panels of art from his next arc.
I think the stuff from his first arc is all sold. I *might* have heard that some of the Valiant execs are quite fond of his work.
Pixierosa managed to score this piece for my birthday last year. This was before I was even able to find a single page...and I am a pro at this :)

I figured Dinesh got most of it, if not all.

I follow Nord on Facebook. Some of those Planet Death pages are really nice. It's interesting to see his comments as he works at inking.

Your Birthday page is the exact page that I was interested in. She has terrific taste. If you ever decide to get rid of it (heh), let me know.

My favorite is the vegas Clayton Crain Harbinger Wars #2 cover .... followed closely by X0 #13 TREVOR HAIRSINE cover...

1 or 2 others are pretty sweet as well.

 I do believe I am blushing. (that's also a great song, btw).

Hopefully there will be no getting rid of that piece. :D

I was extremely fortunate to get the Nord art. I started looking back in July but there wasn't a lot out yet. I knew I wanted to get an X-O piece but had never bought art before and didn't know what to do. I didn't want to tip my hand to Dan by asking about purchasing art.

I'd heard a lot about Dinesh being an upstanding guy so I went straight to him on Facebook, introduced myself and explained what I was up to since he knows Dan. Despite his busy schedule (guess he thinks highly of you, DAN), he went looking for what was available and sent me the scans of the Nord spread, which was stunning, of course. So he let Cary know I wanted to purchase it and put us in touch. Cary was very easy to work with, sent it in a timely manner, and did a good job of safely packing the art.

It was an excellent experience for a first-timer. No fuss, no muss. Totally surprised Dan, too.

Seems like a lot of the creators are easily accessible online and are genuinely interested in hearing what we think of their work and ininteracting in general. (My gods, they're just like regular people!) If you don't use a middle man like I did, I think you'd be fine talking with them directly. If they have an agent they sell through, they'll refer you to them.

As for me, I'm interested in getting a hold of scripts. :hope:

Just some friendly needling. I'm actually not all that interested in original art. There's only been one page I've wanted (Sandman Brief Lives - page with Morpheus after killing Orpheus - by Jill Thompson). Found out (from Jill) that it was the only piece she kept from her Sandman run, and did not want to sell.

HOLY MOTHER OF...

That art is amazing! THAT is what I'm expecting from Planet Death! Can't wait to see that all finished! Probably gonna be a crazy variant I'll never get ahold of, but I can put it on my desktop background!

:cloud9:  :high-five:

EDIT: Wowzers. Just looked in the covers section and saw that this is gonna be the regular cover for #13! Yipee! And I was right, it does look EPIC all colored!

I agree. I looked at the solicit hoping she was the interior artist, but nope. The only book of hers that I'm very familiar with is Halloween Eve. And it looked great. Harbinger (or A&A, but Henry is perfect on that) would be a great fit for her.
She did the art for much of the Madam Xanadu run that Vertigo put out a couple of years ago. Matt Wagner wrote the series and I recommend it highly but our tastes don't intersect much.

You ain't kidding.

I may check it out though. Sometimes awesome / catchy art can hook me into a story. Not often, but Reeder is the type where I could see that happening.
