Harbinger Wars Sketchbook - Emerald City Comicon
Anyone going to the Emerald City Comicon this weekend?
If so, any chance of picking up a few hundred sketchbooks for the rest of us?![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)

There was a board member who was going to do it, but then he found out tickets were sold out.bribri wrote:Anyone going to the Emerald City Comicon this weekend?

VEI mentioned getting these out to stores to promote Harbinger Wars, so hopefully some of us will have the chance to get them that way.

That would be cool... I think I really want one of these! I'll have to check with my LCS about that. Any idea when they may try to get some out to stores?BugsySig wrote:There was a board member who was going to do it, but then he found out tickets were sold out.bribri wrote:Anyone going to the Emerald City Comicon this weekend?

What is a sketchbook, exactly? Just blank pages that you can take to cons to have artists draw stuff in?

No, not "in"; on. At least not the last two (or four).Phoenix8008 wrote:What is a sketchbook, exactly? Just blank pages that you can take to cons to have artists draw stuff in?
The X-O #1/Harby #1 and Bloodshot #1/A&A #1 blank sketch flip books had both complete #1 issues in them (hence, the "flip"), but both covers were blank. Right along with what you said, you could have one of the artists do a sketch and/or have the whole creative team sign the cover. But the rest of the book IS the actual #1 issue, not a sketch "book", just the cover.
Although I haven't personally seen the Harby #0 blank sketch book yet, I'm assuming it's the same way. If it's not, that's a whole different thing altogether, and you can just disregard what I wrote above
![Embarassed ](./images/smilies/icon_redface.gif)
OTOH, if it is, what's on the flip side? Bloodshot #0

Okay. Thanks for the info. Sadly, no use to me at all since I can't get to any cons.

Actually, I think it's filled with pencil/black and white art from the series, not blank pages. I could be wrong, but VEI keeps saying it has your first look at Harbinger WarsBloodShot wrote:No, not "in"; on. At least not the last two (or four).Phoenix8008 wrote:What is a sketchbook, exactly? A friend of mine picked one up for me. She said it's "just a 6 or 8 page preview".
"JUST"?!?!
If I didn't need her to throw one in the mail, I'd have educated her on showing some respect!![Razz :P](./images/smilies/icon_razz.gif)

So, instead of the actual Harby #0 inside, it's a "preview" and a sketch cover

Re: Harbinger Wars Sketchbook - Emerald City Comicon
I attended the con and the publisher gave me a stack of them. They are 6-8 pages. The cover is essentially the same paper weight as the pages inside. It's virtually a comic book sized pamphlet. Still very cool nonetheless.
I've happy to share for cost of postage. I may not be able to get them out right away as I'm juggling a lot and still recovering from pneumonia (although I did brave the crowds for a half day at the con).
I'll also ship one out for free if you are able to ship me the upcoming FCBD comic when it comes out.
Best,
Steve (FYI, I'm a long time lurker, but rarely post)
