Say what you want, the art in that thing is actually pretty sick.

I like bleeding cool's article better:
http://www.bleedingcool.com/2013/04/12/ ... um=twitter" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
"I don’t know if it’s ever been said publicly but the principle figure behind VIP – and a number of LLC companies trying to secure all sorts of trademarks – was Nick Barrucci, owner of Dynamite Entertainment and Dynamic Forces.
It didn’t end prettily."

Oh I didn't say it wasn't....some of it is pretty snazzy but just not to our beloved characters...Dr. Solar wrote:Say what you want, the art in that thing is actually pretty sick.

You can hear a little bit more about the history of all this stuff in our conversation with Dino.

So, when Dynamite does what they're famous for... POOR customer service... how does that help Valiant?

Re: VALIANT Teams with Dynamic Forces for lithos, statues, m
It doesn't and I'm sure that's one reason VEI has held back in doing something with DF as long they had...DF has been clamering to do some of this stuff from the very start.greg wrote:So, when Dynamite does what they're famous for... POOR customer service... how does that help Valiant?

Re: VALIANT Teams with Dynamic Forces for lithos, statues, m
Oh dear, that forum thread was a bit of a disheartening read
I sure hope that Valiant protect their own reputation and make sure they lean heavily on DF to make sure the work gets done and out on time, and in a respectful shipping schedule too. Or at the very least, pull the plug on any projects they have with DF with a decent public announcement at worst.

Do you know the history of the "sneak peek"?MarkRoseHFX wrote:That ashcan art does look nice but what the *SQUEE* is that Harbinger drawing supposed to be? Pete?
It was put out by VIP during the legal wrangling over the rights to the trademarks, to show "intent to use".
Since VEI owned the IP for all Valiant characters, the characters drawn in the Ashcan couldn't have anything to do with the Valiant characters.

Well, it looks like I'll have a reason to check the Dynamic Forces section of the Previews catalogue now. But I don't think I've ever been interested in full-sized busts of anything. Ever. Unless we're talking, well, ya know.

I've only just had my first experience of Dynamic Forces customer service. I asked them a question. Twice. And haven't gotten a reply! I guess I've been in good company. Still...the prospect of diverse merchandise is interesting. And the litho looks awesome.
