Planet Comics Valiant 2013 FCBD Variant Ordering Info

I've spoken with Mike Thompson, owner of Planet Comics in Anderson, SC about making the Planet Comics Valiant 2013 FCBD Variant available to folks who'd like a copy but don't necessarily want to drive thousands of miles, or fly from another country, to get one.

Mike's going to be selling the issues as follows:

Domestic - $8 including shipping

International - $28 including shipping

I'm not sure what the price will be for multiple issues but I imagine they'll be more than willing to do that for folks who want additional copies.

They're just charging $1 a book, the rest is shipping (at least for the US orders). Maybe you guys could get together like we did for the VF.com edition and just have one shipment to hawkeyeps (since he'll be distributing anyway) and then he could just add it to your stack of VF.com editions. Not trying to volunteer you for anything; just thought it could be an option if you (or anyone else) is willing.

I didn't mean any offense to the offering I think it's great that people will be able to get it. but seriously 28 bucks for the book shipped to Canada? it's prob cheaper to pay 8 get it shipped to someone in the US and have them re-ship it.

I charge $19.95 + fees with USPS Priority Mail to Canada up to 4 lbs.

I think Planet Comics ships with the same carrier and service I use.

With packaging and supplies, this isn't a bad deal if it were shipped USPS Priority Mail.

If $28 is too expensive, I'd recommend purchasing additional copies so you can lower the cost per book.

I'm am sure that Planet Comics can ship 10 or maybe even 20 books so you can get a lower price per book.

USPS does offer First Class Shipping. I would not take a risk in shipping anything First Class to Canada because it takes a longer time to get there, plus its difficult to track First Class packages. So sending this First Class is out of the question. Also, if I use First Class, I will need to purchase packaging materials and that will probably cost the same price as shipping with Priority Mail IMO.

Good info for me to keep in mind Elery thanks! i'm more used to paying what Joe said maybe 8-10 to get a comic shipped. I'm never in a rush to get stuff like that I always take the cheapest option myself.
