A favor to ask for those who ordered the VF FCBD Books
First of all, I'd like to say thank you for participating in the Valiant Fans FCBD offer in February. viewtopic.php?f=2&t=39356" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; The books will be released in May and I will ship these out as quickly as possible the same way as I did the Feb Variant Pre-orders.
A total of 18 members participated in ordering a range from 10 to 50 books in the 290 books that were available.
As you all know, I am not making any $ on these books (The prices I have listed is my REAL cost which includes optional bags/boards, shipping, supplies, my time and Paypal fees). I am estimating that it will take me about 10-15 mins to individually package these books (about 4+ minimum total hours total for all 18 orders). Some of you know that I have 2 kids. (a 4-month old and a 2 1/2 year old) I try my best not take any time away from my kids therefore I usually start working they are asleep which is usually after 9:00pm.
In summary, I am doing this to help out a few VF Fan members to acquire these books and not have to spend $$ to acquire them. A few members have asked me if I would like to get something in return for doing this.......... Now that I have thought about it, there is something that of you can do for me.
I would like to ask if you can spare a few minutes of your time in reviewing some of the most recent Valiant TPBs on Amazon. I am sure most of you have Amazon accounts and if I can just have five minutes of your time "out of the fourm time" to review our favorite TPB's on Amazon, that would be wonderful.
The whole world can read your reveiws on Amazon and there will be far more people looking at the Valiant TPB's on there if there are more reviews. Please review the books and tell the world why you love these books. I cannot tell you enough on how helpful these reviews help Valiant to get recognized by non-Valiant fans and this is a great way to give other comic readers a chance to see Valiant books with these reviews. Even if you do not own the TPBs you can still make a review since I know you have read these stories.
All that is required to do a review is that you have an Amazon account, click the "CUSTOMER REVIEWS" link and select "CREATE YOU OWN REVIEW". Share your thoughts with other customers on how wonderful these books are.
X-O Manowar Volume 1: By The Sword [Paperback]
http://www.amazon.com/X-O-Manowar-Sword ... -o+manowar" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Harbinger Volume 1: Omega Rising TP [Paperback]
http://www.amazon.com/Harbinger-Volume- ... gy_b_img_y" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Bloodshot Volume 1: Setting The World On Fire TP [Paperback]
http://www.amazon.com/Bloodshot-Setting ... -o+manowar" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Presently there's only 20 reviews for X-O #1 TPB, and its ranked #64 on Graphic Novels > Science Fiction Category. If all the member who participated in the VF FCBD add another 18 reviews, I would put a bet that we can increase the ranking of X-O Manowar within the top 50.
This is a win / win situation for everyone who loves Valiant Comics. Thanks again.

UPDATE 4-13-13
Good News! All 18 participants have pre-paid.
Bad News! I dropped the ball when I missed KXXX's reservation for 10 books.
viewtopic.php?p=848191#p848191" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I just found out about it this morning.
I am not sure what exacly happend, but if I sell KXXX 10 books, I will have 0 books for myself.
In order to be fair to everyone... Here is the plan:
1. I will be asking for a volunteers who ordered if they wish to defer / cancel 10 copies to KXXX.
2. If #1 does not work.... I will contact the members who ordered 20 books or more in decending order if they wish to cancel their 10 copies.
3. If #2 does not work.... I will ask Greg to do a random selection of the participants who ordered 20 books or more to cancel 10 copies.
**(the member who volunteers / or is selected will receive a refund for their 10 copies)
If I receive more than 1 cancellations, I have a waitlist so there is no problems. Cancellations will be givin a full refund.
Thanks.

Jonesy. The VF FCBD will be delivered probably 3rd week of May latest. Greg will ship them to me on FCBD via UPS Ground (approx 7 days).
I also have to prep, bag. board and pack 19 individual orders. The. USPS takes 2-3 Days to get to you.
Hopefully everyone will get theirs before the guys who ordered them from Canada receive theirs. If that's the case, I'm doing this very slowly.

Re: ALL SOLD- Valiant Fans FCBD VARIANT - UPDATED 4-13-13.
Hawk,
I seem like a pro, but I just try my best to pack and ship these.. as I would love to receive my items in the same condition they are shipped.
I don't think I can ship these quickly. I will be bagging and boarding 300 books. These also require different types of packaging due to some members ordering 10's, 20's, 30's and 40's units of books. My terms in this offer is clear that I will not rush in shipping these... because they take time to do.
RULE #2...
"These books will come out in May 2013, and your books will ship right after I receive them which is usually one (1) week after its released since I need time to get these from Greg. The problem is what if I get 29 separate orders for this deal and I need to bag/board all 300 books. So please give me some reasonable amount of time to get it done. I can work very fast, but, but it takes time to bag/board/tape/sandwich/pack and move 300 books. Plus I need to make sure everyone gets their orders correct with your mailing information."
It would be easier to ship 10 orders than 20 orders... I did a 10 book minimum just to help out some members. (boy... not sure if I can do this again)... This is for Greg, ValiantFans.com and the board members.

You mean drop off Cuban cigars, it's no problem to get them in Canada. Canadians are allowed to freely travel and trade with Cuba, my cousin just went there...said it sucked.greg wrote:The Canadian boats go to Miami to pick up U.S. packages and Cuban cigars.hawkeyeps wrote:Ours are in Miami now...yeah that's on the way to western Canadadrmirage wrote:UPDATE 05-01-13

Hilarious though- "Hmmm, where is this going? Canada? All righty then, lets get it off to Miami!"

I don't think there is a major American city further from Calgary than Miami, crazy right?
2044 miles from Little Rock to Calgary, Miami to Calgary 2,973 miles

If they end up in Cuba I'll be *SQUEE* and Nonplayer will have an aneurysm!

Elery,
My copies of this just arrived. What a tremendous packing job, right down to the individual styro peanuts taped into a support on each end and the easily removable tape strips! You could give seminars on how best to securely package items. Have always been impressed by your talent with this task which is a challenge for many people.
And, I loved your note you included asking folks to help out VEI and review the 6 TPBs to date on Amazon.com. I think it is a small favor to ask us in return for Valiant, Greg, and you making this special issue available to us with these books.
Thanks again for all the hours and effort you put into this project. It is a real treat to have the first VF.com book in my inventory. Hopefully it is the HARBINGER of things yet to come.

Re: ALL SOLD- Valiant Fans FCBD VARIANT - UPDATED 5-01-13
Thanks for confirming... Great! I did not expect USPS to deliver these so quickly due to the shortage of man power at our USPS Station. If anyone can share any photos of the package, that would be appreciated. Plus feel free to post if anyone is doing their reviews for the TPBs. I'm sure VEI will appreciate those reviews.
It actually took me some time to get these books sorted distributed fairly. You will notice that I placed the worst condition books on each end so that if there was any chance of damage in the transit, the NM or better books would sustain the least amount of damages.
This would not be possible without Greg Holland and Michael Tierney, owner of the local Comic Book Store, in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Enjoy!!!
Since, reviews are rolling again... For those who need links to all the current VEI TPB's.... Here they are:

It actually took me some time to get these books sorted distributed fairly. You will notice that I placed the worst condition books on each end so that if there was any chance of damage in the transit, the NM or better books would sustain the least amount of damages.
This would not be possible without Greg Holland and Michael Tierney, owner of the local Comic Book Store, in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Enjoy!!!
Since, reviews are rolling again... For those who need links to all the current VEI TPB's.... Here they are:

Thanks again, Elery. All your effort is truly appreciated
