Re: Fan Art Fridays
Last week's winner was my viking artist brother in arms, @telefated:

He told me this is for sale, thought I'd pass that info along.
It was a commission, and between the time it was commissioned and when it was completed, the person who commissioned it had some change in their situation, and couldn't pay for it.
If you're interested, hit him up on twitter, or through his deviantART page.

Thanks dude, I'm excited for the show - you should come on over to Burlington on Sunday to check it out! I hope I can get my #faf done this week, but its not looking good now [I was aiming to complete it while at work this past weekend but had a busy go, too many calls].MarrowMan wrote:Hope the show goes well and can't wait to see some more stuff from JD, it's been a while!

Re: Fan Art Fridays
I've been drawing some quick character pictures this year to have fun and maybe get some newer stuff I could add to my portfolio. I usually give myself about an hour and see what I get. I did this one of Bloodshot and thought it turned out kinda cool for a quickie. Hopefully you don't think it totally stinks

Me? I work old school with pencils and inks on Bristol board. I just ran it thru photoshop to mess with the contrast to make the white brighter and the black darker (and dab in the red).caniac wrote:What program to you all use to do that stuff?

I didn't think it totally stunk until you mentioned that you ran it through photoshop.
Seriously, though, I like your style and the contrast really makes it pop.

Nice work too - very cool that you limited yourself to one hour, I do that myself sometimes as an exercise to stretch my mind & do as much as possible in a short time.

Re: Fan Art Fridays
Alright, I managed to finish this off, but it was rather rushed at the end so... not my best work [insanely busy week].
Inspired by a tweet from Valiant last week about Deathmate, when they said 'everyone likes H.A.R.D.C.A.T.'s, right?'...
I took it one step further & 'Mark Roseified' it. May I present...
Purrbinger Wars: Call in the H.A.R.D.Cats!

Here's a one I did of Flamingo. I like redheads, sue me
Anyway, I thought I'd try my hand at drawing her for some fun. It was a part of my usual one hour deal.

Hopefully I've done her some justice!

Re: Fan Art Fridays
Sincerest thanks for all the compliments on the H.A.R.D.Cats, Valiant Peeps! I really appreciate it, especially when I don't think a drawing turned out well. I got some nice reactions on Twitter from @ValiantComics & Josh Johns too
Would it be overkill if I posted it to Valiant's FB page after it got a good run on Twitter already?

Seriously... it ain't that good!Burrito Boy wrote: VEI should make this a variant cover.
Thank you! I don't normally feel inclined to draw humanoid animals of any kind... but for some reason MarkRoseHfx is tickling the parts of my brain that wants to draw, what with his mad penchant for kitty versions of Valiant characters.first_citizenx wrote:No furries! LOL

Thanks dude! You're bang on with the characters I chose for the H.A.R.D.Cats - glad it was obvious. I wasn't sure if Gunslinger was obvious enough... And again, I maintain that it isn't all that good, but i had fun with the drawing [and I am happy with parts of it - particularly the poses & expressions of the 'Purrbinger' Renegades.hawkeyeps wrote: Josh...that is fantastic!
