Hmm. Looks like mostly info we've seen before. Some interesting tidbits, though. For example,
Aric building a kingdom sounds very cool. Likewise, confirmation that Kindt will be doing more Valiant work in the future (Ninjak, anyone?). And kinda meh on this Signature Series variants thing. Since I didn't read old Valiant, it doesn't affect me as much it will probably affect you guys. The new arc sees Aric start to fortify and build up a certain area of Earth, which puts him at odds with government.

Love the look of Gilad in these latest covers. Very much prefer this look to the superhero outfit he had in A&A.

Love Hairsine's work (especially the young Harada flashback scenes in Harbinger) ... his gritty style is gonna kill on this book.
And story ideas for EW are really blowing me away. Can't wait!

I took two X-O blank flipbooks to Heroescon. Jim Calafiore is doing a sketch of the old X-O on one, the new on the other, side by side they will be fighting.

Sorry, I missed this. Sounds like a lot of great stuff coming up. Great looking artwork and happy to know Matt Kindt will be involved more. I loved his early stuff (I've not read his more recent stuff).

Just curious, do you know what title he is working on? I really dug his work for the old valiant, but other than VEI and Dark Horse i don't really know much about what is going on in the industry.dhudson1 wrote:I took two X-O blank flipbooks to Heroescon. Re: HeroesCon 2013: Valiant panel information *spoilers*
Should this go in the spoilers section, if we want to discuss what was said in the article? I'll black it out just in case.
As I said before, I'm glad to hear Kindt will have more involvement. It would be interesting to see him do Ninjak with a noir bent. Also, curious to see Bloodshots past. Are these flashbacks in Vietnam going to be him as a soldier before he becomes Bloodshot? There was no nanotechnology that I know of around at the time. Made me think of Bloodshot as this twisted version of Captain America (I never thought of that before).
EW keeps sounding better and I'm excited to see what they've got planned for Bloodshot and Hard Corps.

Re: HeroesCon 2013: Valiant panel information *spoilers*
Just got back from three fun and grueling days at Heroecon. I'm going to type up a more detailed report as soon as I take a much needed shower to get the smell of 10-cent comics, sweat, beer and Five Guys french fries off so my wife will come near me, but I'm surprised that more mention wasn't made of Justin's comments about Shadowman and especially the De La Torre art that was shown, that is hands down the best art I've seen on a Valiant book yet. I've made some disparaging remarks with my feelings about Shadowman, but after talking with Justin, Dinesh and hearing what was said at the panel, I think I believe that the title will only get better and that Justin is the right person to tell this story.
More reports to come but there were a few pleasant surprises on Dinesh's Ipad....
But I am sworn to secrecy and I am pretty sure Dinesh is capable of finding where I live and sending Fred Pierce and his daughter over to kill me. And I doubt they'd do it quickly.
Nevertheless let it be said that the awesome wonders that I beheld on the Ipad of Joy are enough to give any Valiant Fan shivers of giddy gladness.
You totally thought I was going to tell you what I was shown, didn't you?

Agreed. Shadowman does appear to be headed in the right direction. We all loved #0. They know it. Heck, they loved Shadowman #0, too. I think they are making quick changes to get the rest of the series headed in that direction.Tim wrote:I believe that the title will only get better and that Justin is the right person to tell this story.

I am uploading video of the panel. In the video Bloodshot is revealed to have existed since WWII.
