Just started listening to the latest episode. I took a hiatus from podcasts the past 2 weeks as I have had Regina Spektor music on almost 24/7 as stress relief due to work issues.

Thanks for finally telling the "getting pulled over by a cop" story. I thought it was going to be a lot seedier, though.

Before I lived in Memphis (where we get lots of cool shows, plus Nashvegas gets anything we don't and it's only a 3hr drive), I was in rathole, WV where nothing but bad country music and pop artists came. I missed Regina Spektor, not just once, but twice in a very small venue where I am sure I could have actually met and chatted with her (both performances were part of a public radio show that I had been to several times and met and chatted with the performers afterwards). Still kicking myself. I like her much weirder songs (Back of a Truck) more than her poppier (is that a word?) songs like Us. But she doesn't make any bad songs. I have a ton of her bootleg bar performance songs on my hard drive and phone. Can't wait until some of them get actual recordings.

Ghost of Corporate Future is my go-to coping mechanism.

Suggestion for a future random OTV podcast (as I know you guys like to mix it up from time to time). I've just re-read Acclaim XO #1 (first time since 96!) and it's not great! But to be fair to Acclaim they did shell out for all of the top creators of the time to work on the books so its not like they did it on the cheap.
It I'm not mistaken, Elveen and Jonesy are more familiar with the Acclaim runs than Chiclo and Sean. How about you guys pick a 5 issue run from one of the books and review it (ala VH1 before VEI launched)? Or alternatively critique the Acclaim years and give your thoughts on why it didn't work out?
