Awesome!

I think that preview is a great start in addressing many of the things that people have had issues with ..or have been clamoring for with this title

dark and gritty horror themed art..... check (RDLT is KILLING IT!!)
Some personality and dark shading to Jack's milk toast persona..... check
Jack inner monologue...check
Jack struggling with the Loa Spirit possession... check
More voodoo elements... check (Punk Mambo! Love it!)
More characteristics of New Orleans.... check
Characters who are black should look black....... check!
Scaled back story with a hint of mystery that build's up jack as a character and also the abbetors...check

My main issue with Shadowman up to this point has been consistency

Shadowman has had 2 of my top 5 favorite issues of VEI

but it's also had some of the lowest lows as well

Hopefully the new creative team can bring stability and consistency to the title

Looking forward to this arc :high-five:

Shadowman is a horrible comic other from issues zero and ten its gonna take a lot to win me over.... saying that this doesn't read bad. Isn't it weird though that the arbertors (Spelled that wrong haha) are already there. They haven't had a presence at all in the past issues. How many months is this supposed to take after #9
A shameful plug to the book i am currently writing. Please like my page so when I try to publish it I already have a following... https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Blac ... 9693235948" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Looking forward to this. It does look like alot of what's been missing so far. I totally expected Nettie to be out in the cabin in the swamp. Unless that Punk girl is somehow her. Talk about a twist!

I think this board has been exceptionally hard on Shadowman (it's fair to say it's weak for a Valiant book but in terms of the competition it's been pretty good). But I gotta admit that this seems a more appropriate direction for the title and I'm really excited about this new creative team. This preview pretty much captures everything I've wanted to see in this book (most of which were conveniently listed above by bygranddesign).

While Zircher is a great artist and did a fantastic job, RDLT really should've been the first choice for this book. His art adds a whole new level of creepiness (not to mention awesomeness) that's been needed in this series.

Looks really good.

How does Shadowman fit into the Valiant universe? As I recall, he kinda had his own corner that he never strayed out of.

As of now he doesn't lol. There was one advertisment for unity that showed Harada looking at a a computer and shadowman and xo and someone else was shown on the screen. So im guessing harada might know of shadowmans existance. Maybe he will show up in unity?!

I endorse this post. :thumb:
This book will be top 3 for me, if they hit the right keys. Judging by the look and "feel" of that preview, I'm pretty confident.

Very excited having seen the preview

Looks like Shadowman is becoming the comic that I was hoping it would be to begin with: Darker, creepier, grittier storylines and art are the things that I've been hoping would feature from the beginning.

I've certainly enjoyed the comic up until now, but it looks like Shadowman could very well be a contender for my #1 favourite comic by the looks of this preview: Just can't wait to see how it shapes up when it hits the shelves, very much looking forward to it :)

New look Shadowman is very promising and has more of the 'Vertigo' feel that I think it will benefit from. I'll definitely be giving this a try. :thumb:
