Vine Psiot?

I was thinking that since the Vine have bred with humans to have survived and spread as much as they did, what if they got human abilities? We don't know how someone becomes a latent psiot yet, but what if a Vine was one due to their breeding with humans? Although that's assuming being a psiot is genetic, which we don't know yet. I would love a story here Peter goes to activate someone, going into his/her mind to turn his/her power on, only to discover that he/she is a freaking alien. That would be a cool way to tie those elements of the Valiant universe together.

So what do you guys think?

Another idea is that maybe Peter is part Vine?

He ends up as an alien in VH1 (don't ask me how) .. but maybe they can play off that idea

I'm not quite clear as to how much of the human population is Vine or part Vine ... do the human/vine just mate with other human/vine? Or is a huge part of the population have a little bit of vine in them from generations of inter-breeding?

yeah, it would definitely be an interesting way to connect the universe closer together.

I know the argument that will be made is that the Vine babies copied the Human babies and should be genetically the same ... but if they access the "collective" they are obviously a little different in someway

A hybrid Vine-Human baby ... maybe able to access parts of the human brain that a normal human can't access

So the hybrids Vine-Human who don't know they are part Vine may be "latents"

And maybe there is something even more special about those who are born activated like Peter.. some sort of genetic mixture that is really unique..

I ask because it was clearly laid out that they seek each other out through the collective mind thingy at a young age. Maybe they are instructed only to breed with their own kind.

It hasn't been established, but we do know Alexander enjoyed co-mingling with humans. If reproduction is possible--and I would assume it is since VDitti himself said their bodies are exact replicas of humans--then its not unlikely that someone could have slipped one past the goalie* at some point.

And Bugsy mentioned Alexander. I always thought of Alexander as part human and he turned against his own people because he liked his way of life and he liked Earth/Humanity. I think there's an opportunity to explore the way of life for the Vine who were left behind... How they coped, what they were taught, etc.

Mostly I want more Alexander in my XO life.
