Just saying, toss in your vote and justify why.

The REAL winner is going to be VALIANT because all the Marvel Fanboys will need to research X-O Manowar to justify their posts, and in doing so, they will LEARN about the character and (potentially) increase overall interest in this whole "Mysterious" Valiant universe!

Yes, but there are 2 things to consider here:

1. Colossus has a MUCH larger fan-base due to his being a part of the X-Men universe for 35+ years. People might vote Colossus in simply because it's a character they are more familiar with.

2. Valiant has not placed metric values/limits on the Manowar suit's energy blasts or physical strength. One post attempted to state that the Manowar suit was about 1/2 the strength of Colossus (who can lift 100 metric tons). The other issue is people stating that the Manowar's energy blasts would likely have little effect on Colossus. To counter such a response, we need to know what the limitations are (e.g. Aric needs to cut through a 18-inch titanium wall at some point, and then it needs to be recorded somewhere in a superhero wiki that he did so. He may also need to pick-up a submarine and throw it at something to quantify his strength).

Didn't XO end up winning this one? I thought I saw a Facebook post about 'poor colossus' the other day...

It's definitely cool that Valiant characters are included in these voting battles - this is the kind of thing that helps get them into the broader geek/pop culture landscape.

It went

50% for Colossus
45% for X-O
5% too close to call

I voted, to me it was a no brainer.

Colossus would have lasted about as long as the first Unity team.

one thing I noticed is that some of those dudes commenting are taking it WAY too seriously, and they are *SQUEE*bags.

I only read a bit of it but it seemed most of the argument was Marvel Handbook vs. XO hasn't been defined yet.

I don't recall any excessive dooshyness but I didn't read all the comments, maybe I will if I need an extra dose of dooshdom in my life (likely not).

I can think of 3 ways XO would beat Colossus in a heartbeat-

1. PAFF

2. Lightning sword vs. Metal body

3. Pick him up fly in to space and throw him in to the sun

I wasn't really excessive dooshyness very mild but just enough to suck all of the fun from the thread. Some people just need to lighten up or loosen up a bit. It's just comics, they're meant to be fun.
