was just reading 'Dark Knight Returns'... Frank Miller stuff rules... and Dick Grayson's death in it reminded me of Gilad.

they can both regenerate body parts lost and are essentially immortal, but what if you dropped Gilad into lava or something and reduced him to nothing. there would be nothing to grow back from and he'd be dead right?

hey, it's late and i'm bored and i know it's a stupid question.

I can't remember what issue it was, but Gilad was in a confrontation with one of his enemies & the comment was made of what would happen if "I cut your head from your body. Could you recover from that?" Gilad's reply was something like "I don't think so, but I'm not going to find out." So I think if Gilad was beheaded, that would be it. Kind of like Highlander.

different Gilad; different rules. In VH-2, the Bloom made immortals pretty darned tough. So the bad guys drowned over and over and over again; the Immortal Enemy bled and suffered for all eternity. Yes, Gilad survived a severed head, but he was "resuced" pretty quickly by his big brother Ivar and hooked up to life support.

i think if he was beheaded, and then the head was replaced soon after, it would maybe reattach itself. just a thought. i think gilad could die of blood loss, which would explain alot. like when he is shot alot, he always tries to escape.

that was because he wanted to take over Gilads body...and didn't want to be a vegetable for a long period of time.

Gilad often killed his psychotic children by lopping off their head...so I'd say that's the best way...

Or, yes, total incineration...nuclear blast, etc.

If Gilad gave a blood transfusion, would that person go 'nuts' or become partly immortal?

I though that Project Rising Sun was looking @ Gilad for as a potential candiate not only for his 'healing; but his apparent immortality.

Did the VH-1 stories ever reveal how the members of Rising Sun figured out about Gilad's abilities?
