X-O Manowar #0... when do you think we'll see this?
Just wondering when you guys thought we may see an X-O Manowar #0 issue. I ask because so far, we've gotten zero issues for most of the ongoing VEI titles: Archer & Armstrong, Bloodshot, and Harbinger have each had two zero issues, and Shadowman and Quantum & Woody have had a zero issue each.
None so far for Unity or Eternal Warrior, but those are still early into their runs. Meanwhile, the longest running title, X-O, still hasn't had that zero issue happen yet.
Granted, I can understand them holding off on doing so, as it would likely focus on the Manowar armor's past, and they likely want to release that story/history in snippets as they go. But still...

Re: X-O Manowar #0... when do you think we'll see this?
From what I understand, Armor Hunters will shine the light on the origins of the XO Armor. And we had Aric #0 in the first X-O storyline, so that should cover everything. THough I would still love to see a "X-Os of the past" or "X-Os of different planets" type of a book. Stories about the choices one makes given the ultimate weapon have always fascinated me.DIrishB wrote:Just wondering when you guys thought we may see an X-O Manowar #0 issue. Definetly post armor hunters. While armor hunters will probably cover what the armor is the past itself can be up in the air. Shanara could of had previous users, could be some mythical uber weapon there's quite a bit you could do with a 0 issue

I'd guess either the end of 2014 or early 2015. I almost wish we could see another issue with Aric as a Visigoth paling around with Gafti...but if it's an issue about Shanhara's history, I won't complain!

I hadn't even thought of that. An XO 0 issue dealing with Shanhara is a great idea! I agree with the other posters that they'll probably want to finish up some of the backstory with Armor Hunters.

Cary Nord has been working on something either EW or XO related that takes place in Visigoth times. Could be XO#0 or the next EW arc after the hiatus.

But it's well established that EW personally knew Aric 'back in the day'. Don't really see why there's much need for expansion on what we've been told storywise so far with a #0 issue really, but that's just me.BugsySig wrote:Cary Nord has been working on something either EW or XO related that takes place in Visigoth times. Thing with XO, way I see it, is that Aric's past and the Manowar Armour's past has basically been explained enough for me to be happy with things as they sit.
Comic so far has stated that a vine (allegedly) found the Manowar armour on the Hara vine, used it to slay the Torment, and since then no other being has worn it until Aric. Rules out the possibility of 'other users of the armour' doesn't it?
Not saying I couldn't appreciate the whole 'others wearing the armour' thing because it'd probably be entertaining enough, but I just don't see how that could work given what everyone currently knows about the history of the armour.
Having heard about other armours though (based on the concept of Armour Hunters)... Now that's something that could be expanded upon

Well, the Vine seem to disagree amongst themselves over the validity of that story. I'm leaning toward an ounce of truth in an overly embellished story.Shadowman99 wrote:But it's well established that EW personally knew Aric 'back in the day'. Re: X-O Manowar #0... when do you think we'll see this?
Well, won't disagree with that, but don't you think that if someone wore the armour since the wanderer, that'd be significant enough to have been recorded in the Vine's history? I'm pretty sure someone'd have mentioned itlorddunlow wrote:Well, the Vine seem to disagree amongst themselves over the validity of that story. Yeah, I bet we'll see a 0 issue one day. Like someone else said, I'm willing to wait. We might get a relaunched number 1 before a 0, at the rate all these companies like to relaunch number 1's now.
