Looks good! Bloodshot will make an interesting addition to the team. Nice art by Segovia as well.

expected after issue 5, and especially welcome if the future of Bloodshot's book is uncertain.

I'm excited by the move - I think it makes some logical sense. Adding Bloodshot to the Unity mix will be interesting. EW has a connection with a early "soul-less" version of bloodshot .. and it will be interesting to see how Bloodshot interacts with Livewires powers and also with the XO Suit.

But fans who have been clamoring for Bloodshot Solo again .. I wonder if they are out of luck for the foreseeable future?

I'd like to see Bloodshot return to its numbering at some point ... but maybe after a 2-3 arc stint on unity(8-10 issues) they will completely re-launch the title?

I'm hoping we'll see big #25 anniversary issues of A&A, Bloodshot, and Harbinger before they do any relaunches or re-numberings. :hope:

Whoa whoa whoa, what? What's this all about? Is this something I missed from an issue of Eternal Warrior or something??

IGN, man the spelling, the webpage layout... I've seen better done by high school students. They need to get their *SQUEE* together.

Very cool hearing about Livewire interacting with Bloodshot's nanites though. He really, really needs to make friends with her, because I don't think it's beyond her ability to straight up tell him what's coming from his programming: therefore, leaving only what makes him human in isolation... Very interesting. Bet they don't address that in the comic though. Can't have him laid bare yet can we? He's still too interesting with his mystery...

+1

Harbinger I think is almost a certainty that we will have that issue #25 anniversary - we might just have to wait until after Armor Hunters for it.

Not as sure about the other two - but they are so close to issue #25 it would seem a waste not to capitalize on it. :?

Yeah, its something that is revealed in an issue in March. Rather not spoil it anymore for you if you haven't gotten to those March issues yet..

That sounds really cool...I wonder if Shadowman will join the team one day? That group is going to really rock. I like seeing a team book that has individual heroes that we already know, instead of team books in VH1 (like Armorines) where we couldn't tell the difference between the members.

And I agree with you guys about the art! Segovia's work looks really cool. I can't wait to see the rest of the pages. :thumb:

Cool, I'm excited to see what Mr Kindt has in mind for Bloodshot in the book. I think he'll be a very temporary member, considering Matt says he thinks of him as filling the 'pinch-hitter' position on the team. I don't see this scenario as a replacement for Bloodshot in his own book.

I think I said this somewhere else, but I'm guessing that there will be a hiatus of the Bloodshot book and VEI is going to roll something else out, or the title will be HARDCorps only, and they just want to keep Bloodshot busy somewhere while that happens.
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.

Its an intelligent guess, I just kinda hope we don't see a Bloodshot hiatus.

I like that the title is following in the footsteps of the Avengers with a rotating cast.

I hope HARD Corps sticks around but Bloodshot joining up with MI-6 could mean PRS has the deck stacked against them in a bad way, unless PRS and MI-6 are still down in some way :hm:

It's also interesting to consider that MI-6 has been heavily infiltrated by the by Vine possibly since it's inception and both they and PRS have Sect connections.

won't say I'm surprised Bloodshots teaming up with Unity, I am surprised that it's during Armor Wars. Also surprised to see Kindt state that it was his choice to get involved with the event. Makes me wonder though this doesn't bode well for Hardcorps. Bloodshot has a mini and is in Unity during Armor Wars, what happens to Hardcorps?

Kindt talks about having the 3 core members then rotating a 4th member, I wonder on the longevity of this idea as there are only so many characters in the VEI and also if it will feel 'forced ' if the book always has a 'guest' character?

I think it can work well and makes sense to have an additional character or two related to each storyline as part of the team. The Defenders often did this and it worked for many years and with 3-5 issue arcs, I'd say that strategy can last some time.

Just from the characters introduced so far you could have Shadowman, Doctor Mirage, Kay McHenry, Timewalker, Sting, Archer & Armstrong, Gunslinger, Mary-Maria, Stronghold...that's enough for 2-3 years worth of stories and doesn't include XO or Bloodshot returning or new characters yet to be introduced.

Don't you think it would seemed a little 'forced' for them to find different reasons to have random characters join the team? Shadowman would be a very odd fit!

My preference would be that additional chats gets only appear, say, every 3 arcs or so?

I agree I wouldn't want to see them forced on, but if it fits the story Kindt wants to tell then I say go for it. If Unity takes on some supernatural foe, then why not Shadowman? Could Ivar seek out his brother's team to aid him in righting the time stream? I don't see why not.

I agree with Bugsy; the core team with a rotating outer roster is the best for the book long-term. It allows you to flesh out a few characters, giving your book something to do from a character standpoint, while also being able to bring in new characters constantly to keep it fresh. The early Avengers did it, Unity is doing it. I could see everyone but Livewire quitting at some point and her reforming a new team, like how Captain America did early on- the team structure is so open that any change is plausible if put in context well enough.

That said, Bloodshot DOES make sense on Unity, but if it's through MERO that might be weird. He hasn't interacted with them before, so that's weird. But if Gilad recruits him to Unity after learning of his not being the robotic monster he was in WWII from Armstrong and Unity assigns him to MERO, that would be awesome! It's all in the finessing his presence, I think.

And, from a universe standpoint, Bloodshot is the next biggest solo star of the company and the first to establish the VEI black ops corner of the universe, so he makes perfect sense as the second new member (the first being Aric after Harada left).

I'm going to like this on a grande scale! A definate plus for Valiant as new characters can fit in and also major characters can step away from "regular" numbering for a spell and continue a natural growth of the universe. Also loving if they keep the cast small. Who needs 10,000 Avengers anyway?

I like the comparisons to the Avengers, that's really cool. And I think Shadowman would be a good team member down the road, or at least a rotating cast member, as you guys say.

I hope Aric stays with the group as a permanent member, and isn't just rotating. (That's just because he's my favorite character.)

Yes, but that's what would make it interesting. When the Avengers started interacting with Captain Marvel (and Rick Jones), they were battling foes in the Negative Zone. I think that entire run from issue 90 to like 105 are my favorite arcs.

Same could happen with Deadside.
