I hate all of you on the West Coast.

1. You get all kinds of LCSs to shop at.
2. You have wonderful weather 99.99999% of the time (Seriously, the first time I went to SoCal we planned to go to the zoo. As we were eating breakfast on a patio at a restaurant it looked like it was going to rain. We asked the waitress if it was supposed to rain. Her response was one of confusion as she stated "It never rains here." My second and last trip to SoCal was a few years ago and it rained on the day we left. You would think every plague from the Bible had descended upon LA.)
3. You get 90% of the cool/big cons
4. It takes me a really long time to get there and costs me a lot of money
5. All the LCSs get creators in every other day to sign/sketch/etc.
6. Too many anti-vaccine nutjobs spreading measles and who knows what else
7. Too many basketball teams - when my team plays yours, I have to stay up too late to watch
7a. The Clippers. Man, I hate the Clippers.
*SQUEE* your science, I have a machine gun.

Quick thoughts..

Who has time? I have to get ready for WonderCon in 2 days, I have to stop by all 24 shops still check on the 3 new ones opening on Sunday, hit the beach for my afternoon surf before it gets cold (they say it's only going to be 82 and Sunny) and still clown my friends from the Lakers about how GREAT that Clippers game was last night! As soon as I do that I promise to respond to your thoughts.

At least your hatred for us stems (mostly) from jealousy and not from the pure disgust you seem to have for canada.

Unless you are jealous of their abundance of denim. In which case ive got nothing. :?

My wife would be the one that hates you due to pure disgust.

And I know you put a parenthetical "mostly" in there, but I feel like I must clarify - I am not jealous of any of your basketball teams. They all suck.

I will get to SDCC one year. It must happen. I've even got my wife on board for the trip whenever I can actually score some tickets.

When you do get out here, hopefully we'll have sh!tty weather and we can trot out some ugly people so you don't die from the shock of how unbelievably awesome it is.

I think today (Friday) was more packed than Saturday was last year. A Friday more packed than last year's Saturday...I am expecting a big *SQUEE* of people to be there tomorrow.

I got most of my autographs out of the way today, so I'll just be milling about Artist Alley trying to fill up my sketchbook a little bit more. Hopefully I'll be able to take it slower and pace myself a little bit more so I'm not exhausted by end of day. Got 3 sketches in my Marvel sketchbook and all of the autographs I was looking for except for Mark Waid. I seem to have the worst luck with trying to meet him. I saw Sean, Elveen and Bone-A-Fach-ee today, and randomly met Mrs. Chiclo in line for a lottery drawing. She's very nice! I also joined the 'First Signed Copy' club! Will have to get a pic of that to post later.

I also saw Elveen and Sean. Got the variants for all the board members from Atom! and also say Dinesh and V-ditti. Spent most of my day working on my sketchbooks, got four sketches so far and my sketchbooks are spending the night with some very cool artists. Just a few more to get tomorrow. I also have tons more autographs to get though I got a few today. Definitely was packed today and will be more so tomorrow though I am hoping to get lots done! Disneyland for me Sunday so I have to pack it in tomorrow, great show so far.

Also - they had Archer & Armstrong NYCC exclusives at the VEI booth, which was supposed to be a run of 750 copies. And I saw a stack of the Quantum & Woody CBLDF books from San Diego at the CBLDF booth.

So…I guess they're not so much convention-specific exclusive as they are convention-until-we-run-out-of-them exclusive. At any rate, if anyone is still in need of these, let me know and I can try to get them for you tomorrow.

Wow, yeah, that was a packed Friday. Got some cool sketches, Ron Lim, Steve Leiber, who were both super nice guys. Of course got to hang at the Valiant Booth, and Elveen's Booth a bit. Saw Doc, Elveen, ChrisKay, and even met Chiclo AND Mrs. Chiclo! Heard rumors of Jace being around too.... Soon, we will run into each other!
David Baron was really cool, selling and signing prints. Also, V-Ditti was in the hizouse! Signing, hanging, and just being super awesome. Both guys couldn't be any cooler.
Looking forward to the Valiant and V-Ditti panels today. should be a blast. More updates to come!

Anyone going to be there today? Look for me, wearing a blue Def Leppard t-shirt. I will stop by VEI booth to chat about some business :)

that was a lot of fun, scored so much loot!

Harbinger #22 exclusive, signed by Joshua Dysart
Quantum & Woody #1 Gold, signed by James Asmus
Armor Hunters chromium fronts, one signed by Robert Venditti

but the best part of the con was meeting so many of you guys in person. WonderCon will always have a special place in my heart since that's where I discovered VEI and got back into comics last year.

This con was amazing. First, love that valiant is set up there. 2nd, love that they have a panel, and give out free Gold books to all in attendance! 3rd, genuinely enjoy hanging out with the VF board guys. Seriously, had a great time hanging out.
Also, had my first "after show" experience, at the hilton hotel bar. It's like the con never ended! except, now you have DRUNK people in costume!
Great event, great kick off to con season for me. Looking forward to more and seeing the guys more frequently.
Rock!

I had a great time at this show.

It was fantastic to see old friends, make new friends, and see all the Valiant folks.

I am exhausted, and wish I could have stayed home and slept all day, but it was well worth it.
