Wow. I just realized something.

VEI just succeeded in making me REALLY WANT to buy these variant covers. Total marketing win for them as I'm one of those who is fine getting one copy because the story is the same regardless of the covers. Not in this case. This is pure ART and I want it all just based on that. I really hope these are all just cover price and not a more rare variant (like a 1:10 or 1:20 or worse). $4 x 18 issues is already $72 I'd be spending over a few months. If they are rarer than cover price I don't know that I could even contemplate affording to buy them.

Same here. I only buy variants of first issues if I really like them. Thats it. I want these.

I do wonder how these will work with DCBS, though. Will they be released later?

Well played indeed. i don't buy variants AT ALL. I get to crazy about being a completist so i just don't go there. But i'll be getting these!

My favorite thing to is pull out my Unity books (VH1) and lay them out to form the inconnected pictures.

I will definitely be getting these - hope they're the pullbox covers.

Just so you guys know, I was offered to be one of the 6 retailers and did not go for it. My decisions had to do with buying a sizeable quantity (won't talk about numbers) of 18 books and then not being able to sell them for much, pretty much cover price.

I see a lot of you saying you'd want them. Would you have paid $10 per book for 18 books? Probably not. So at cover price, and with a high order, I saw no way for me to make money back unless I charged $10 per book, and I was not going to throw that your way, with 18 books. Specially with 5 other stores offering them and at least a couple of them I know will lowball it. I really REALLY wanted to do it, but decided against it. As much as I wanted to do it for the board, I don't think I could get 500 orders here, even at cover price.

My thoughts exactly, I have dealt with DCBS before and they are kind to Canadians some of those other places not so much.

Customer service was great with price and shipping very fair.

That's kind of strange for them to be running behind on this kind of thing. Must be because it was a very last minute thing from VEI to secure them as on of the chosen 6 exclusives. We'll see what they show as available after their site refreshes on May 1st I guess. Thanks for posting the info.

So, DCBS updated their site today. Now showing July's books. No sign of the Mega cover titles anywhere in their Valiant listings still.
