Thanks for sharing!
I found this part of the article interesting:
"The first in a new line of oversized hardcover omnibuses re-presenting the most demanded series and runs from the Valiant archives."
I wonder what oversized HC omnibus they plan to release next?

600 pages seems like a lot. You think they will throw in a surprise? Weren't some issues between 21 and 32 put together but not printed?

25 x 22 page issues plus covers would be 575 pages. Add in the extra stuff and you can see how they get to 600 pages.

Unity is an obvious choice, assuming that the inclusion of the GK3 isn't a legal issue, if they don't appear in any new material or on the cover.mkb28 wrote:Thanks for sharing!I found this part of the article interesting:

After that, Harbinger #0-25 makes sense and would be sweet. A Bob Hall Shadowman omnibus would be in demand, but might be too big even for one of these.

No worries man.
I missed that bit. Must have not read closely enough

Anyway, I'm really liking some of these ideas for 'the next' oversized hardcover. Personally I'd like to see the entirety of Shadowman printed in this format across two books. Maybe #0-21 in the first book, and then #22-43 in the second book (or wherever the story splits nicely, y'know what I mean).
Unity could be cool, Archer and Armstrong would fit nicely into a single volume, as would H.A.R.D. Corps. Maybe bundle VH1 Armourines and Psi-Lords into a single volume? Perhaps Rai and Ninjak could be nicely collected into respective single volumes?
Having said that, maybe the Acclaim material could be collected too? I think a VH2/3 Shadowman Volume would be lush

I could daydream on this all day, so I think I'm going to leave this one here now

Re: Quantum and Woody Omnibus - Complete Collection
I have the ninjak hardcover. the image quality is pretty poor. Did i hear somewhere that they were actually working with scans of the old comic books? any word/ speculation of the quality of the images in this omnibus? I don't think I would buy another book like ninjak.
also what's the outcast/ kirkman hate for? did i miss something?

Re: Quantum and Woody Omnibus - Complete Collection
I was mostly being facetious. Outcast is a trademark of VEI. They sent letters to Kirkman to acknowledge the fact and state they would legally defend it. That's why it's listed in all official news as "Outcast by Kirkman and whatshisname". That is literally its title (well, it has the artist name in reality).ilzuccone wrote:

Re: Quantum and Woody Omnibus - Complete Collection
I'll get this but it's not a "must" get as I don't share the appreciation of these characters as some do.
I'm getting it to encourage Omni's on characters/titles I do appreciate. It's a financial sacrifice bunt on my part to get what I want latter.
Assuming the GK3 are off limits then.
Harbinger: #1-25 vol.1 then vol.2 #26-42 + Harada Files
Archer & Armstrong all 27 issues
Eternal Warrior: 2 volumes with #0 and Yearbooks spread in there. Also, Wings of Justice
Shadowman: vol.1 #0-21+Yearbook then vol.2 #22-43 + Darque Passages one shot
HARD Corps: all 30 issues in one volume
RAI +Future Force: #0-33, all one volume
If this happens I'll be as happy as a pig in slop. Then smaller runs like Ivar, Timewalker & Dr.Mirage can be done in one volume sets as well.

That's the MSRP of course.dornwolf wrote:awww...a hundred bucks. Jeez that's going to be hard to talk myself into that.
I don't know anyone who reads this medium and ever pays full MSRP for a floppy TPB to HC Omnibus---anyone.
It'll be discounted at various online places in varying manners most likely.
I shop instocktrades.com more times than not. Their shipping is phenomonal. The discount for VEI books is usually 35-42% off but this is their first OMNI. Instock OMNIS for Marvel & DC first week of release is 50%, be curious if it is for Q&W.
