Timewalker would be amazing. It could span all over the VALIANT timeline from Ancient Sumer to 4001.

I had wondered this after Lemire left Green Arrow. Someone had mentioned that his contract with DC was up. Good move by Valiant.

Valiant has described it as a "prestige" standalone series, in the spirit of "Kingdom Come."

I agree. It makes sense that Matt would be able to support new story lines in the 4001 era.The Dirt Gang wrote:This sounds like a good guess, as Lemire likes to play with scifi and future storylines. It would be a fit. Although sounds like something that could be a Timewalker series. Then they'd be able to explore the whole history of Valiant.bygranddesign wrote:The way its described
And the fact that it has multiple high profile names attached to it - I think it will be a 4001 title that further fleshes out that timeline and the overall universe.Valiant has described it as a "prestige" standalone series, in the spirit of "Kingdom Come."
Lemire would have a lot of reign to do some crazy stuff in a timeline that has a lot of canvas to play with ... and Matt can further expand the world of Rai/Japan. Maybe a Spylocke story?
Can't wait for tomorrow's news.![]()

So this picture was posted on Twitter in regards to the writer retreat. Does this mean FVL is not writing for VEI anymore?

Awesome picture.
Jeff Lemire as part of the writers retreat makes me think this will be a long term partnership that will go beyond one title/miniseries. Very cool.

Yeah, I have a feeling after A&A #25/delinquents - They will go their separate ways.lorddunlow wrote:So this picture was posted on Twitter in regards to the writer retreat. Does this mean FVL is not writing for VEI anymore? ]

Three of the four have written more than one book for valiant. Maybe Lemire will be a regular too. I wouldn't mind seeing vei put all eight or nine titles in only these guys hands and see what they could do with it.

His last regular issue is next month's #34, but he and Sorrentino are also doing the Futures End one-shot in September.mkb28 wrote:Do you know what issue number will be the last Lemire "Green Arrow" book?dornwolf wrote:I had wondered this after Lemire left Green Arrow. I have also liked what the new guys have brought to the last arc of Bloodshot & HARD Corps (Duffy Boudreau) and what I have seen of Armor Hunters: Bloodshot (Joe Harris).
And bring back Justin Jordan!

I'd love to sit in on that writer's retreat. What a great group to move VEI forward!
The 4 Horsemen - harbingers of doom for all other comic book companies!
It would be great if VEI had audio of these writer's retreats and release them some time in the future. I'd love to hear the process of building the Valiant universe.
Or maybe they are just a barber shop quartet!?!
