Salt Lake Comic Con
Had a great couple hours at the Salt Lake Comic Con today. I'll be back tomorrow for a lot longer. Today I bought some original Valiant art from Sal Velluto from Bloodshot (vol. 2) #4, pgs 16-17. I also had him sign X-O Manowar (VH1) #2 and he opened it up and showed me where he drew his house with his kids stuff in the front yard. Unfortunately, he wasn't doing commissions or I might have had him sketch on my Rai #1 sketch cover. I'll post a photo (or scan if my scanner is big enough) of the artwork I bought later.
I also got to talk to Jim Cheung and actually talked quite a bit about Valiant because he saw the Bloodshot artwork I was carrying around. He said maybe when his exclusive was over he'd be open to working for Valiant, but that he was exclusive for several more years. He drew an awesome Iron Lad sketch that I'll have to post later.
Hopefully next time they don't schedule the convention the same time as Baltimore so Valiant might be enticed to come.

I had another great day Saturday. The highlight of the day for me was getting this Ninjak sketch from Carlo Barberi. It's awesome!!

Man I am so jealous! I love his work on Deadpool and Thunderbolts! Very clean but detailed, very similar in my mind to a early Salvadore Larocca. I can't wait till he makes it to the West Coast. His style would mesh very well for Quantum and Woody very well.jeremycoe wrote:I had another great day Saturday. The highlight of the day for me was getting this Ninjak sketch from Carlo Barberi.
