You absolutely can. I can tell you this about that :hm:

It is something that has never been done in the combined history of both Valiant and VEI. This is a FIRST for this company. And it IS a Valiant book.....Any guesses? :?

I have the addresses for all but one participant and all the other books are bagged, boarded, and in their shipping containers ready to ship out, even the overseas ones. Addresses are on all of them and EVERYTHING for this ships on Thursday, regular mail to EVERYONE. At that point it's up to the USPS who gets theirs first. Will it be YOU? Elery and I are both anxious to hear what everyone thinks about this. We were very fortunate that Dinesh is allowing us to debut this book first to the winners of this promo so it's a pretty big deal. Hats off to Dinesh for always thinking of ways to help support the fans who support him!

it sounds like its a debut/special version of an upcoming release

So i'm going to guess its an exclusive version of The Valiant #1 (which would blow my mind because I am so looking forward to that book)

That's a great guess - the book is the closest to being physically ready for release at this point. Maybe we're even just getting advanced copies of it...

These are great guesses...... but you guys will just have to wait and find out. Its true what Bruce said that this is the FIRST TIME for VEI to do this. (For this book)

I believe there's only 5 individuals who know that this book exist.....what this is. 8-)

Also... what makes this very important is that the Winners / Participants will be the first ones to have this.

QFT!

I was shocked that I qualified. I thought for sure there would be at least a few last minute entries that totaled more points than my single picture!

Definitely the easiest contest qualification ever! Sounds like the reward will be something amazing, too!

Agreed.

I wanted to submit more pieces but work and family made that difficult. Still, I'm glad I entered and followed the others here. It was great fun all around.
I wonder what it would be like to be a lonely, muck-encrusted monster? Probably be an improvement.

Some members submitted a handful of entries, while a few did a single or two entries. We did not reach more than 25 entries on this group so everyone who sent an entry is a winner.

It's good that everyone gets something.... It's not good because ...well.....3 more people could have cashed in on this prize if they just submitted one single pic. :!:

This promo could have really gone either way. We also did not reach the maximum participants in both Facebook Groups as well.

Adding point totals wasn't going to play a factor.

I'm not exactly sure what this all means. Maybe some members don't own a camera or adding/uploading photos is too complex? Hmmmm. Camera shy perhaps.

Hmmmm... The Mystery Box Lurker contest only has 1 entry so far. facepalm. Well over 2000+ candidates...

The thing I expect is that when the participants share what the prize is, there will be a huge groan heard from all those that COULD have gotten this prize, but didn't expend the effort. It won't be because everyone didn't urge them to numerous times. I don't understand it either, but perhaps our successors on promos can learn something from this as they move forward with helping promote VEI and the fans. We're just very appreciative for those fans/members who DID put forth the effort, and hope that you're pleased with what is being mailed out to you this coming Thursday. :thumb:

Likewise, it is hard to understand the lack of response to the Mystery Box Lurker contest. It couldn't be easier to take your shot at what will turn out to be a pretty darn great prize. Our hope was to get more lurkers involved here at the board, but it looks like it will take something else to get them to step forward and participate :? . Oh well.............

not knowing what the prize is is a big deterrent for me. don't know if the ends justify the means. contests in general don't appeal to me.

please don't get me wrong. i think it's awesome this exists and have enjoyed watching the shenanigans.

Oddly, I'm the exact opposite. Knowing what the prize is might actually discourage my participation whereas the element of surprise, of possibly missing out on something unique or awesome, spurs me to participate.

Good point. If we had announced the prize, I'm 100% certain all 65 spots would have been taken. :)

But that wouldn't be fun. :D
