Re: ROUND #3 ANNOUNCEMENT - BONUS SPOILERS - PRIZES REVEALED
I told this to Bruce in a PM ... but I'm really freaking out about how amazing these prizes are.
If this is Bruce and Elery's last Hurrah ... then they saved the best for last! Because this absolutely floors me.
Rai Gold and Unity Gold - those 2 alone blow my mind ... but signed with COA and embossed with certificate? Are you fraking kidding me???
+ a ton of con exclusives??
And then to top it off ... a blank sketch variant done by the peeps at VEI offices????
Wha-wha-wha-wha-what!!?!?!
Holy fracking Hell !!
Bruce, Elery, Dinesh and the Peeps at VEI who put this all together ... Thank you so much! You have made a ton of Valiant fans extremely Happy!!!
(((HEADEXPLODINGEMOTICON)))
And I didn't even get the prizes yet

Yeah that's not cool Jkingman, the book is totalled.
Couldn't they just discard that and send you a good one? Does Valiant not have access to blanks?
Very sorry about that Jake that is a shame, we all worked hard for round 3 and you deserve better.

Re: ROUND #3 ANNOUNCEMENT - BONUS SPOILERS - PRIZES REVEALED
The sketches were Dinesh's idea when Elery and I asked for something unique for each of the winners. We were told that they would all be done on the blank Armor Hunters book (which is what the letter listed) and only learned that they used various blank books last week when the sketch books arrived, weeks later than we were promised. Not all the sketches were signed and the quality of what was done was very inconsistent.

I don't blame you at all for the coffee spill book Bruce!!! What you and Elery do is AMAZING!!!!!! I'm just shocked and disappointed that Valiant let this go as a "prize" I kind of wish Dinesh would've busted out the same GIN-GR "have a nice day" sketch for everyone... But again, I thank you and Elery for all that you've done, you guys are amazing, and shouldn't feel any shame or bad feelings...nothing but awesomeness!! The other prizes are super, super amazing...for a long time fan like me, to finally be a part of this inner circle of super fans...I feel blessed.

Re: ROUND #3 ANNOUNCEMENT - BONUS SPOILERS - PRIZES REVEALED
It is in no way imaginable that this is any fault of yours or Elery's.brucehartshorn wrote:The sketches were Dinesh's idea when Elery and I asked for something unique for each of the winners. Not all the sketches were signed and the quality of what was done was very inconsistent. We had asked for extras in case something bad happened or some weren't so good, but VEI sent us exactly 33 of these. So we randomly picked them for the participants. Please know that these were entirely out of Elery's and my control and we feel bad that there was not a consistency of quality on all of them. The letters had been printed and signed weeks ago on the promise that was made to us that we would be getting these sketch covers for the participants so we wanted to send what VEI sent us, realizing that as Jake said, some we say, "I don't feel lucky". I think everyone knows that anything which is in Elery's and my control will be a quality product, but for this aspect, it was all VEI. Honestly, we both feel they should have taken more pride knowing who these were for, but VEI does as they wish
On a personal level, Elery and I feel bad to have something unfortunate like this sully our last offering to the fans who have demonstrated their support for VEI time and again and for what it's worth, we apologize for the members who got less than they deserved from VEI

The fact that VEI would put you in the spot of having to choose a participant to send a damaged book to is just very disrespectful, IMO.
It's a disrespect to all of us. Instead of caring enough to grab a fresh book and starting again a smart *SQUEE* little note is written and that's supposed to make everything all right.
It's not funny, it lacks class and is a bit of an insult. Personally I would never send something damaged to someone especially if it would be relatively easy to correct the error.
Sullied is the right word Bruce and it's not your fault at all.
I haven't received my book yet but when I do get it I will trade Jake for that damaged book, it's the right thing to do.

I think it's hilarious. How many of us have that much personality in their book. I think its great, and fits with the Quantum humor.
I want to provide a real thank you and comments when I have time, but I did want to shoot this image ASAP.

Re: ROUND #3 ANNOUNCEMENT - BONUS SPOILERS - PRIZES REVEALED
Thanks for sharing of the prizes for those who have received them.
Thanks for Bruce in shipping these quickly and securely. Man!!! That's a ton of work you did there Bruce. Not to mention having to line up at the post office and carrying all these packages.
Like what Bruce had said, the sketches were Dinesh's idea. (Bruce and I actually requested for something a lil different originally) Hearing about Dinesh's idea for sketches....Bruce and myself did not know exactly what type of sketches would be created. (Making it fun because its a mystery / surprise even for both of us)
My jaw dropped as I learned that the sketches were done in random blank covers instead of Armor Hunters #1 Blank Books (which was discussed). I'm not an artist and I think the sketches were cool and unique. A 1/1 which Valiant had to take time to create out of their work hours.
Unfortunately, I did see some with coffee spills. Depending on how someone sees it.. Its either damaged or something really cool right? I'm not exactly sure if Dinesh knew some of the books were damaged (coffee spills).
Anyway... I'm glad people are getting theirs and this project is completed. I'll let Bruce do the backstory of these @ 700.

I wonder what it would be like to be a lonely, muck-encrusted monster? Probably be an improvement.

I totally get the disappointment with this one, but I actually like it. Thank you so much. Everything we got was awesome, and FREE. Hard to find something to complain about with this much awesome stuff.

Relax. Free stuff. One bad book doesn't negate all of the nice things VEI does for the participants.

Re: ROUND #3 ANNOUNCEMENT - BONUS SPOILERS - PRIZES REVEALED
Is Jake's book numbered? I'd like to think of it as a rare stained-and-numbered edition; the only in existence!
Seriously, I know that we all anticipated extras for doing the reviews, but nothing was promised, so there was no obligation for VEI to give out anything in return. Based on the information presented here, it looks like it was various members of the office staff doing to sketches, so naturally the quality is going to vary considering they're not professional artists. I could understand there being frustration if some people got a Nord or Kindt sketch and others got sketches by the office staff, but that's not what happened. With that in mind, I doubt that they saw this as some sort of spectacular collector's item, and more as sort of a goof (which is kinda how I view it; in a good way of course). Everything that I've learned from speaking to the staff indicates that they don't really have a ton of extra time to do stuff like this in the first place. They've already got their hands full making sure that the books ship on time. (And they do ship on time; compare that to Dynamite's record!) I think the sketch covers, regardless of quality, are a cool extra.

First off HUGE thanks to Bruce and Elery!
I am amazed by the hard work you guys do for these promotions.
To any Valiant staff reading this, thank you for participating in this awesome give away. The golds (especially Rai!) are AWESOME!
. I am in awe of this deluxe package. I for one really appreciate this awesome stuff, but (isn't there always a "but"?) I do think some of these sketches could have been handled better. I know they are free, and that is cool, but I wish they would have put some real effort into them (c'mon how cool is that Super Mario Bros. Homage?!).
I really hope Elery and Bruce get some extra recognition for the hard work they do! As always a big
up to the best CEO Dinesh (even if he won't respond to emails! Lmao) and the Valiant crew.

Regarding the coffee spill variant:.......
If you think about it... This is the first official Coffee Spill Variants to have been received by fans. They are unique and rare. If there will be another Photo Scavenger Hunt Contest. We'll be including a DIY Coffee Spill Creation task
