Every V1 comic... EXCEPT Magnus 0... value??

Post by Paradigm38 »

I've had a complete collection for... well, forever (sans Magnus 0 for some odd reason) and am looking for an approximate value on what the block would go for. All are VF or better, unslabbed and all regular editions w/coupons. So, anyone have a ballpark for me?

I think it is a very hard question to answer. Does "every" V1 comic mean all the golds, VVSSs, newsstands, variants, ect.

You have to find a buyer that wants everything in one swoop. Most peeps that would be interested in having it, already have some of it.

If you are loooking to sell, I'd reccomend selling the big runs speerately (XO, Solar, Magnus, Harby, Shadowman, EW, A&A...) and then group the others in one big run and hope. :hope:

I saw a dealer at a at one day show I was at this Sunday that was selling diamond boxes filled with comics, many of the V1 Valiant books were in there (in fact it seemed every box had untouch dealer copies of common VH1 books) for $10. At the end of the show he was shouting "free comic books, come take a box".

If you have the VVSSs and gold in the runs, then I think you can get some sales, if not.....

I bought a ton of V1 uncirculated dealer stock for $30 a long box. Granted, I bought in bulk, but I think the benefit you have a complete and defined runs. That's what adds value.

I agree you should split up the runs and let us know if you include all the variants, etc that Elveen mentions.

This is my opinion, but I think you'd be better off offering the complete series runs. If you don't get any takers pull out the pre-unities, VVSS, Golds, and rarer end books and sell those separately.

Unfortunately VH1 Valiants are at a low price right now, so you might not even get full value. Much better to break them out by title and sell them over time, it may take awhile but you'll get a lot more. Selling big lots of valiants as one single collection is really rolling the ebay auction dice.

Okay, so you've had plenty of people offer helpful advice and I've held off on my smart-*SQUEE* comments long enough...

Why no Magnus #0? That would have driven me bonkers...
*SQUEE* your science, I have a machine gun.
