Nice find! I'm not a huge fan of the Nintendo books, but I love this cover. Now I have yet another book to find.

I found one out in the wild in a comic book store in Springfield, MO. I ended up selling it to a Board Member because I too, don't collect those early books. Nice find!

Not sure if I consider this a "comic" per se...jedimarley wrote:Valiants KFC and Cheeseasouruse Rex comics pre date this sneak peek.

I have a preview book in VF+. Would love, and am still looking for a 9.8 copy.
I don't have the KFC or Cheese books.

Don't forget the Spaghetti O's comic. For the record, there are 2 Cheesasaurus comics. The 2nd one was published a while after the 1st one, perhaps 1993-1994? Each may have foreign editions as well.

Cheesasaurus Rex had a higher print run of Turok #1?? I didn't know that. We have to stop making fun of Turok #1. Who is hoarding all the Cheesasarus Rex?

The Cheesasaurus Rex book had a print run of two million copies and the KFC book had a one million copy run.

Re: VH1 Nintendo Comics System (Sneak Preview)!!!
I have a couple of the Nintendo previews. If I remember correctly they are two wraps, 8 pages including the cover?
All the early print-to-order comics are hard to find in the wild. When you do find them they are usually beat or stickered up. They did not go into the normal comics distribution so there were no collectors to save them. The exceptions are hoards that got freed up when VEI closed shop, the Kenny Kid book (in English?) was one of those.

Re: VH1 Nintendo Comics System (Sneak Preview)!!!
I picked up a high grade copy of the previews book a couple years ago on ebay for about $30. I thought that was a good deal but it's hard to tell since they don't come up that often.

Re: VH1 Nintendo Comics System (Sneak Preview)!!!
The Cheesasaurus was available a few years ago at $20 pretty regularly. I regret not buying one when I could. The 2 on eBay right now are RIDICULOUS!
I had no idea there were foreign versions of these available. Interesting.
I seem to recall a couple variations of the Sneak Preview book. Am I misremembering that? The differences were on the cover? It's hard to find these in VF/NM.
I'm always interested in these books, if anyone is selling.

For some reason my valiant collector OCD doesn't act up with the KFC and cheesy whatever books. I do like getting the nintendo books since mario and zelda remind me of the 'good old days.'

That's weird you bring this up. I just went looking for Nintendo books on Ebay this past weekend. I'd like to get a copy of that.
