This is going to sound ridiculous...
Has anyone considered getting some of the MINIMATES graded by a toy grading company? I mean, most of us get the CGC/CBCS deal, but might not have considered this. Thoughts?

Why not? When Valiant gets big you will have a truly extraordinarily rare collectable.

That is a great idea to keep them in good condition.
I know "Halo" in Australia do this.
Even if it did increase in value, would you be able to part with it?

True, there is a value to consider, as well as preservation. But also, it's really cool to see a bubble, card, and toy sill crisp and clean 20-30 years later as it was they day you first saw it.

So these are taken out of the box and then shipped with the comic to get graded OR do you merely ship the unopened box and send that to them?
Why don't you just buy two. Keep one unopened and the other opened? Take the unopened one, put it a plastic bag and place in a box on a closet shelf.
OR are they more-valuable if you get them "slabbed"?
This is the first I've heard of this.

JK man, this is a great idea, I think it'll be worth it! But one issue I found with these are that all the ones at the TrU were all a little bent. I couldn't find one that was perfect out of the package and I think it was an issue with how they were cased. least it wasn't a pain to open my package, lol. Good luck man, I can't wait to see the grade if you do submit one

Yup, just like slabbing with CGC or CBCS. Same reason, same deal, just toys instead of comics.david_albuq wrote:So these are taken out of the box and then shipped with the comic to get graded OR do you merely ship the unopened box and send that to them?

I don't think ridiculous at all.
I've seen some old TF toys that were graded and they looked pretty awesome preserved for all eternity.

Where are we going and why am I in this hand-basket?
