Not according to what VEI has said so far. The solicitation actually specifically said "No Digital".blujay wrote:As long as it's on Comixology I'm satisfied

Re: Legend of the Geomancer Opinion Poll
I'd be completely ok with that personally. I just want to check out the story, since I'm a Valiant completist. Print numbers don't matter to me. I have talked with my shop owner so hopefully he can order enough to qualify (I made sure he knew about the return aspect for the Book of Death main series issues). I may have to spend an arm and a leg on Ebay, if worse comes to worst.jmatt wrote:I don't know if this idea was mentioned in the other thread (the negativity turned me off but people are allowed their own opinions) but how about if the content went for a premium on the first printing but was made widely available at cover price for a second printing? That way everyone gets what they want.

I'd be all for that. I'd be all for a coupon book too. Cutting up comics to get more comics AWESOME!jmatt wrote:I don't know if this idea was mentioned in the other thread (the negativity turned me off but people are allowed their own opinions) but how about if the content went for a premium on the first printing but was made widely available at cover price for a second printing? Same here. But is there any indication VEI are planning that? I hope they listen to the dissent and consider it.DIrishB wrote:I'd be completely ok with that personally. VEI - I look forward to you one day publishing MORE than 9-10 books per month

I would even accept that as a better option than the proposed model.Tim wrote:I'd be all for that. I'd be all for a coupon book too. Re: Legend of the Geomancer Opinion Poll
I will buy the mini-series through DCBS for $1.99 an issue and be done with it. I decided after Harbinger Wars that I would not collect variant covers for any mini-series and that has served me well since VEI has put out several. Also, with all the variant covers for Ninjak and Bloodshot that I still need, my days of buying the #1 variants may be over with.

Re: Legend of the Geomancer Opinion Poll
I will probably try to get it, but I am not happy about it. If this becomes a trend I will protest by not buying books using retailer incentives and possibly stop getting Valiant books altogether.
This to me is similar to the types of gimmicks done in the 90s that sold a lot of comics in the short term, but alienated a lot of fans and LCS in the long run.

Re: Legend of the Geomancer Opinion Poll
I've read everything VEI has published so far, but if I'm unable to get this book then that will probably make me less concerned about being a Valiant completionist in the future.

Re: Legend of the Geomancer Opinion Poll
I'm happy for this promotion. If it wasn't for the promotion, who's to say we'd even get this series at all? From what FVL has said it sounds like this was initially pitched to him in the context of the promotion.

Re: Legend of the Geomancer Opinion Poll
Glad for this promotion.. I like new Valiant VEI books in any form.

If I just can't be me ,and the Arrow isn't enough.. then maybe I should be Ra's al Ghul
