WTB Full Set of Current Valiant

Post by mattp9989 »

Reaching out to those that may be upset with the recent book of death saga and want to sell their collections. I am new to the "new" valiant universe and am interested in buying a full run if anyone wants to part with it?

There are a lot of new books, they have been publishing 9 a month for a while. You may want to specify a series or 4! Lol. But welcome and enjoy these great characters!

Somebody around here said they were switching to digital only and wanted to sell their copies. Not sure if it was a complete set, but that's as close as you're likely to get.

I'm not a complete variant collector. I only want a regular issue and the rarest issue of VEIs #1 issues. Then I just collect regular covers for subsequent issues, however Ed's deals are very hard to pass up and I've ended up becoming a completest collector for VEI #1 issues facepalm .

It's like 300 issues at 4 each, but I'd be happy to set a new fan up with the whole new universe.

Sold mine (kept less than a short box) almost 30 years ago (pre-valiant) for better than cover then (cover prices range from .12 to 1.50), and most of it what I had from the next 8 years again for at least cover average (about 20 years ago). When you sell large amounts some are way more than cover and some less, but it averages out. Have another 15 boxes that haven't sold much of, but who knows. Since I had my own shop for short time my current collection is slightly skewed with a lot of books that are leftovers it may not have as much value, but I also paid far less than usual. Anyway I'm not looking to sell, but if somebody wanted a whole new VEI universe I would sell, and I probably would still most of set left as I also have variants from most of the issues.
Of course you can also go the TPB way and get it much cheaper, but as we all know TPB's are not a collectible. If you just want stories for the best price I recommend doing the TPB's (and actually the HC they have done are awesome -I have all the HC's and TPB's as well, which look great in my bookcase- packed with extras, but aren't really a cheaper way).
Oh, yeah Ed (paradise) and his shop Collector's Paradise is a big valiant supporter and could probably hook you up with almost all VEI as well (or maybe DCBS or Instocktrades if just looking for the TPB's/HC's).
