HOW BIG IS YOUR HOUSE??IMJ wrote:I was really into the Crow when I was in high school. I still think the first movie is great, and the original comics were inspired, but now I'm looking to get rid of the Crow collection I've amassed over the years.... limited/numbered prints, card sets, stuff like that. I think I have an original 6ft maquee standup from the first movie, still in the original box it was shipped in. Don't ask how I got my hands on that thing....cobra_commander wrote:Th Crow was awesome...not epic imo...but pretty awesomeKino wrote:Spiderman movies were great but one other comic movie I liked alot was the Crow (first one).

Maybe everybody just liked Terabithia the first time, when it was called Narnia.betterthanezra wrote:Easily I might add.....Daniel Jackson wrote:Not too shabby, it even beat out 'Bridge to Terabithia'.ibreakhorses wrote:http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070218/ap_en_mo/box_officebetterthanezra wrote:The opening on this was BIG...

I think Disney is scraping the bottom of the barrel for ideas these days. Good thing they didn't let Pixar get away from them.greg wrote:Maybe everybody just liked Terabithia the first time, when it was called Narnia.betterthanezra wrote:Easily I might add.....Daniel Jackson wrote:Not too shabby, it even beat out 'Bridge to Terabithia'.ibreakhorses wrote:http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070218/ap_en_mo/box_officebetterthanezra wrote:The opening on this was BIG...

heh.. oh sheesh. I saved stuff in the past. Now in the present, I'm slowly selling the stuff I've saved. Don't worry though, pretty soon I'll run out of stories regarding stuff I have because I will have sold it all somehow....cobra_commander wrote: HOW BIG IS YOUR HOUSE??![]()

I don't know how you could do a good Cap movie...its such a throwback character which makes it difficult to "modernise" on the screen. Even if you do an "Ultimates" Cap that only works in the comic books. Would love to see somebody pull it off though...Kino wrote:I heard that in 2009 there will be a Captain America movie. If it's a throwback character then throw him back to where the character worked--WWII.cobra_commander wrote:I don't know how you could do a good Cap movie...its such a throwback character which makes it difficult to "modernise" on the screen. That would be cool if they did the ENTIRE first film during that period and finish off with a set up for the sequel by freezing him.

That would work for the fans, but I'm not sure about the general audience. They have gotten used to a different kind of super hero movie and they would probably get bored with the WWII premise. Especially if the whole movie revolved around it. It would make for a cool 15 min set up to introduce the character though.mavros wrote:If it's a throwback character then throw him back to where the character worked--WWII.cobra_commander wrote:I don't know how you could do a good Cap movie...its such a throwback character which makes it difficult to "modernise" on the screen. Its a really good idea but its really not the trend of movies these days (or the last 25 yrs)... the general public want an updated or modern version of the character....it would be de rigeur for the character introDaniel Jackson wrote:That would work for the fans, but I'm not sure about the general audience. Anybody know what would make a good update version of Cap?

If they could capture the feel of Indiana Jones with it (the old serial films with big action explosions/stunts), then it would work.
I know it would never happen... but it's nice to dream some days.
They'll most likely do a similar story set up as Hellboy. They'll end up going with what they did in the Ultimates start off with the big explosive battle up front where Cap gets frozen stopping the rocket. They'll probably even go with using the aliens as well (more politically correct then having him fight a particular group).
[Should we start another thread about this?]
That aside, I should be going to see Ghost Rider tonight. Not expecting much.

Spoilers:
Just saw it.
Lot of plot holes. What was the point of Sam Elliot's character changing into the Ghost Rider only to just hang out? As well, Sam Elliot's beard... I kept asking myself, is it natural for him to have hair that high up on his cheek? (Face lift?)
Again, the knife attack needed stitches? The night stick to the face was no effect? Crushed by a car? No effect? Shot? No effect?
Except for the final one, the fight scenes were over in an instant (must have been too expensive to have one of the combatants have a flaming skull for a head).
Plus side: Some of the visuals were cool.
Overall verdict:
Wait for it on TV. This one is sloppy.
Below Daredevil.
