a nearly complete Solar pre-Unity run would have went for only $15? I don't remember prices being quite THAT low.Daniel Jackson wrote:Sad thing is last year it would have sold for around $15.Elveen wrote:Brother J wrote:good deal? So long since I've bought a lot like this I wasn't 100%, but it seemed right:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0237973983
Solar #2-13, 50, Solar: Hell on Earth #1-4
for $36.50 shipped.
condition looks to be mixed, but around NM on the pre-Unity books (except for #10, which has a wicked crease).
Good deal I think.

At the show me and Drift did Sunday one of our French retailer buddies who comes over to do business gave over some nice books.
A pile of French Marvel/Panini books, which are basically really tasty French language reprints, but mainly very well put together thick card stock editions or glorious Prestige format squarebounds.
Titles were quite recent this time too.
Civil war stuff and Issues #1-3 of WWHulk all squarebound.
Our friend Dynamo also gave us a ltd edition hardback Spiderman & Iron Man book each.
Drift got Kravens Last Hunt by Zeck and mine was Iron Man which contained the second arc of V.3.
All this for free as we always do great business with them.

I bought three lots similar to this (minus the VH2 books) the first part of last year for right around $15, so yeah the deals were there. Toward the middle to end of last year the prices started going up again on the early Solars.Elveen wrote:Brother J wrote:a nearly complete Solar pre-Unity run would have went for only $15? You guys are too nice, but to be honest, I was going to probably turn around and try to flip this set on eBay, I thought I might be able to make a little bit more than I paid for it, the way prices are right now.siren3-4 wrote:Draco . . I'll tell you what, siren, are there any other books you're actively looking for? Maybe we could spring a small trade....

Cool. I didn't like that series as a kid, even though every time I read one of the two issues I had, I thought it was good..Jay Tomio wrote:I got three color gudies from a G.I.JOE Special Missions the Marvel series) the other day. When I saw them I just remebered exactly when and where I was when I first read them and I just had to have them.
