Smudged signature on VVSS comic
Is this common? Would it affect the value of the book?

I've seen that on a few of the chromium cover ones, BS 0, Shadowman 0, etc. Sometimes it's smudged and other times, the sig has applied itself to the interior of the bag the comic is inside and partially peels away when you remove the book.
I guess whether it affects value depends on the severity of the smudge, but if I notice it on a book I'm selling, I make sure to mention it. Some people are more fussy than others about these things.

It is a Turok 1, so that sort of makes sense. I do not think it smudged in the bag since when I removed it from the bag there was no remnant of ink on the bag. I'll contact the seller as it was not mentioned to me. I don't want to be a pain to the seller and this isn't an expensive book but I wish that it would have been brought up.
