List your hoards here
The Valiant & Mile High thread got me thinking. Surely there are at least 2 dozen hoards of stock-piled Valiant keys out there, since some folks on this board (Hey Greg!) have been systematically buying them via Ebay & other sources for the last 7 years.
Frankly, pre-unity valiants are easy to get if you're willing to pay the price. (Meaning, one could probably compile 15 sets of Rai 1-5 via Ebay alone in a month).
Anyone here willing to list keys they have more than 6 copies of? Anyone have over 20 Harbinger 1s? 25 X-O or Solar 1s?
I remember the photo of Greg's stack-o'-Unity Reds, but seriously--who's got the Mile High III stack of Valiants?
I'm a lightweight, but the proud owner of Magnus 0 (x 6), Magnus 2 (x 10) & Predator v. Magnus 1 (x 5).

See for yourself.
I do not really mean to have so many but I have a problem NOT being able to sell stuff I have. I hoard everything. You might say I am a bit of a "pack rat"

Seriously?

I haven't been hoarding much, but have been thinning out instead. Lately, I've been passing up pre-unities, no matter how cheap, if they aren't in really nice condition. However, when I see a Rai 0 for $.50 or less, I can't help but buy it.

My inventory numbers are a little out of date but my pre-unity issue count is easily over 1000 now.
Let the *SQUEE* match begin!

My inventory numbers are way off now, but I've got 7.5 longboxes of that are just about 90% pre Unity. I am especially heavy in Harbinger 1-7, Solar 1-10 , Rai 1-4, and XO 1-5. Some of you may remember I sold my rarer VVSS's last February to finance my front projector in my home theater, which I use almost nightly, so I don't really mind. I've pretty much got multiples of all the Gold books, but that's enough for now. I certainly don't think I would crack the top 25 in Greg's inventory though.
I am selling "nothing" on ebay-yet.

I will probably re submit a current inventory in the fall when I have time to go through all the stuff I have. I know there are some new collectors on the board, and I think that's great is absolutely wonderful and lends some credibility to some of the longterm members belief that these stories are worth reading and collecting. It's important for the hobby and for the future of the VALIANT characters.
Quite a few of the long term VALIANT collectors have impressive runs of books and multiple issues of pre unity stuff that they have been buying for years, and I know there are guys here who have more than 20 Harbinger pinks and 1's, the same with Rai 3's and 4's. It's really not that important, what's important is your personal enjoyment of the stories and the hunt to acquire the issues you want. I mean when money is no object you can pretty much just win all the ebay actions you want and do your collection that way, but that's not always the most fun. What's fun is digging through a box of comics and finding 5 VVSS issues (any of them) priced at $3 each or gold books in the same way. I just found 5 Rai 9 VVSS's that way, and a Shadowman Gold a couple of weeks ago. That was fun and exciting.
