Rai cover variant?
Does anyone know about a cover variant for Rai #3 or #4 from 1992?

Interesting question...chilihill wrote:Does anyone know about a cover variant for Rai #3 or #4 from 1992?
If you mean a cover that looks nothing like the "normal" cover for Rai #3 or #4,
then you're probably talking about Magnus #7 or Magnus #8, they have a Rai cover on the "flipside".
(Actually, Magnus #5 through #8 all have Rai on the flipside.)
Those are the Rai "mini-series" and generally referenced by the Magnus title (and number)
on the other side of the book.
If that's the case, then here's some more information about those flipbooks:

If you're talking about the alignment of Rai #3 (or Rai #4) being a variation,
then yes, Rai #3 is often "miscut" as opposed to well-centered.
(Same cover of course, but two variations in the production quality.)
Here's a helpful graphic:

Additionally, Rai #4 is often miscut as well, but it's harder to see...
(I don't have a graphic for it handy), but Rai #4 is often cut where the
RAI logo at the top looks like it's leaning (or more diamond-shaped).
The graphics along the top edge of a Rai #4 is often slanted as a result.
Hopefully one of these replies answers your question.
