The lineup has been finalized for the October 28-29 MO-KAN Comics Conspiracy. Located at BTC Exhibit Hall B, Business & Technology College, 1775 Universal Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64120, the show will feature a wide variety of mainstream and independent guests, an auction to benefit comic book creators in need, trivia contests and assorted panels.
Scheduled guests include:
Ed Brubaker -- the acclaimed writer of Captain America, Daredevil, Uncanny X-Men, Catwoman, Sleeper, Gotham Central, The Authority, and Criminal (October from Marvel);
Howard Chaykin -- the artist on Hawkgirl, the 1st Star Wars comic, and the new Blade series. As a writer/artist his works include the acclaimed American Flagg! series, The Scorpion, Black Kiss, Cody Starbuck, Dominic Fortune, Ironwolf, The Shadow, and Blackhawk. Chaykin also created all but the latter two. His writing credits include Bite Club, Twilight and American Century. He has also worked on these television series as a writer, supervising producer, or script consultant: The Flash, Viper, Earth: Final Conflict, and Mutant X. ;
Richard Corben (Sunday only) -- Comic book artist, illustrator, publisher; his works include Den, New Tales of the Arabian Nights, Mutant World, SOLO, Bigfoot, Swamp Thing, House on the Borderlands, Cage, Hulk Smash; numerous classic stories in Creepy, Eerie, Heavy Metal and his self-published comics;
B. Clay Moore -- the writer of Hawaiian Dick, Battle Hymn, The Expatriate, and The Leading Man
Tony Moore -- artist who has worked on Battle Pope, The Walking Dead, Fear Agent, The Exterminators, Masters of the Universe, Brit;
Greg Weisman -- creator, story editor & Supervising Producer of the GARGOYLES animated series, writer of the new Gargoyles comic book from Slave Labor Graphics; an Associate Editor and freelance writer for DC Comics in the '80s, he worked on Captain Atom and contributed to the Who's Who books; as Director of Series Development at Disney worked on Darkwing Duck, Gummi Bears, Tail Spin, Bonkers, Raw Toonage, Aladdin the Series, Duck Tales the Movie, and The Mighty Ducks; has written for Batman: The Animated Series, Men In Black, Disney's Hercules, Big Guy & Rusty the Boy Robot, Max Steel, Roughnecks: The Starship Troopers Chronicles, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, The Mummy, Kim Possible, Alien Racers, Bionicle: Mask of Light and Bratz: Genie Magic II; He is currently producing and story editing the second season of W.I.T.C.H.;

Anna-Maria Cool -- artist on Soulsearchers & Company, Elivira and Barbie comics, and OZ artist;
Rob Davis -- artist whose comics works includes Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek, and Quantum Leap;
Chris Grine -- writer/ artist of Chickenhare (September from Dark Horse);
Jeremy Haun -- artist whose credits include Battle Hymn and The Leading Man;
Phil Hester -- artist on The Irredeemable Ant-Man, Green Arrow, Nightwing; writer of Deep Sleeper, The Atheist;
Brian Hurtt -- artist on Gotham Central, Hard Time, and The Damned (October from ONI Press);
Steve Lightle -- artist on The Legion of Super-Heroes, Wolverine, Red Sonja, and Doom Patrols; cover artist for Flash, Marvel Comics Presents, and X-Men Classics;
Ande Parks -- inker on The Irredeemable Ant-Man, Green Arrow, Nightwing, The Exterminators; writer of Capote in Kansas;
Chris Samnee -- artist on Queen and Country, The Exterminators, Capote in Kansas, American Splendor #2 (October from Vertigo);
Ken Siu-Chong -- writer whose credits include Street Fighter, Street Fighter II, Street Fighter Legends: Sakura, Darkstalkers, Taskmaster, Marvel Mangaverse: Avengers Assemble, X-Men Unlimited,Fantastic Four #50, and Thundercats: Heroes & Villains;
Rick Stasi -- writer and artist for DC, Marvel, Disney, Warner Bros.; Instructor at the Kansas City Art Institute;
Independent creators will have tables at the convention as well. A.C.T.O.R. (A COMMITMENT TO OUR ROOTS), the first-ever federally chartered not-for-profit organization dedicated strictly to helping comic book creators industry veterans with financial aid for emergency operations and necessities of life, will have a table and on Sunday there will be an auction benefiting A.C.T.O.R. On both days there will be giveaways and trivia contests. Sunday is Kids Days with classes on how to create comics.
Hours for the Mo-Kan Comics Conspiracy are 10–5 on Saturday, 10-4 on Sunday. Admission is $7 on Saturday, $5 on Sunday; children ten and under are admitted for free.
